I don't think so. Ponchos are gone but I think everything you loot still falls into the category of lightsaber parts and outfits. There's probably blasters too since one comes with the preorder, but those are just skins like the lightsaber parts.

It'll likely be the same as the first game though--you'll still need to do all the side exploration because you never know if it's a dumb cosmetic or hp/force/skill point upgrade.

There are still ponchos in the game, just much more variety in cosmetics, i.e. Actual outfits, not just poncho palette swaps.

I'm assuming some of the things you find besides cosmetics are life and/or force upgrades. I know in the first one you could find extra stimpacks, so probably the same just more

Saw they are supposed have a day 1 patch for this shit but it's EA so it will be shit I'm sure.

releases in ~90 mins on consoles, not sure about PC

day 1 patch went out for ps5/xbox seems to fix a lot of issues with frame, HDR, and stutter but I guess minor bugs still. A few people got it a day or two ago (physical) and finished and said they had no problems on ps5 except 2 glitched trophies, guess we'll see

seems good enough for me to pickup tomorrow barring any last minute digital foundry "PS5 is fucked!" videos, it seems its about 25-30 hours to finish the story and another 20 hours or so to 100% it

It's an action game. What loot do other action games, like GTA or RDR really have?

I played the first game just like I played GTA and RDR, in that I did the main missions and played the story. All the other shit was meaningless filler too. Of course GTA has a much better story, but the Star Wars setting kept it interesting enough to make it though 20 - 30 hours of the first game.

Is it worth $70 - $90? Fuck no, but it is worth the $15 on EA's gamepass equivalent.

I'm just going to wait till it's $20. The last game was fun, but the lack of loot was a negative to the game.

It played more like a soulslike t me. As someone says above, it’s fun for a while and then the gameplay just isn’t enough. You start looking at the cosmetics and you’re just left with…really?

Didn't you lose guns when you died or did story missions? I don't remember needing to go pick up anything as the story provided what you needed. I only played each of the GTA/RDR games once, didn't do any of the tedious side missions, and it's been a while now, so memory is a bit foggy.

It might be sort of souls for old people like me who don't want to face a boss 400 times before beating them. I loved the first one. It was 25 or 30 hours or whatever of an enjoyable story with an enjoyable game play loop.

First game felt sluggish and unresponsive, I'd want to hear that's improved in this one. I'm willing to bet it is not improved, though.

Sounds like its not (and watching a few vids/streams). Seems to be some CPU bottleneck that is throttling the GPU.

Well performance is different from the controls feeling sluggish and unresponsive, but yeah I'm sure it's the same engine with the same issues.

First game responded like shit, no loot, and the main character runs like he has a corn cob up his ass.

Unless that all changes, I'll wait for this to be $5 or whatever it was I paid for the first one.
