Apologies if I missed it in the thread. Who the hell is Donnie Yen playing?
Blind not-Jedi staff guy.

These trailers all seem pretty dark; if they really reshot a ton of it to make a lighter tone then they are fucking idiots because the dark tone leading to A New Hope is obviously needed.
That trailer went a long ways towards making a lie out of the reshoots rumors.
I don't understand why people get so worried about reshoots. ANY movie with that much money is going to do a rough edit during production while planning some kind of reshoot.
The reshoot rumors specifically stated it was to lighten the tone of the movie. That is what didn't sit well with many of us.

Final article this week from EW. Something something girl power.
At a time when the United States has just nominated its first female candidate for president, Jones says fantasy can change reality for the better by showing even more female action heroes. “It’s vital,” she says. “As we’re seeing in politics, it is a world where women are becoming leaders of nations, and films should be reflecting that.”
“I’m With Her” is already taken as a slogan in our world, but the infantry tough guys of Rogue One will be following a similar battle cry: “I’m With Erso.”
What's the clinical diagnosis for someone who can't separate fiction from reality?
The Donnie Yen character makes me happy because (aside from DONNIE YEN) it shows that the Jedi/Sith are basically just churches or organizations dedicated to force users, but the force exists without them. They teased it a bit in VII but this looks full-on force use from neither group. Even if he "follows" the Jedi way, he isn't actually a Jedi.

I've been working on a screen accurate Vader costume for a little over a year and I'm almost done. I am hoping to have it complete in time for Halloween and definitely in time for Rogue to hit theaters. I suited it all up for the first time last weekend.
Just fucking sigh.
