I'm not sure if you're just trolling or being sarcastic but I really don't think that will be the case. I think you'll see the death of a few characters. I think if they plan on moving forward with the franchise you have to somewhat eliminate the tie to the people. Hamil may agree to some force ghost stuff in the future but I think all of these guys will do this and then be finished with it. Some may die because they're old, some killed, or just left up to our own imagination but they'll have to bring closure to the fanbase and purist that the future (if there are plans for any) is on the shoulders of the new cast.

Not to get all nitpicky, but I'm totally going to get all nitpicky. There can't be "a" flagship. There is only "the" flagship, which is the ship the commander of a fleet is manning. I think that would have been the ship that Admiral Ackbar was on.

I will accept this if you meant it in the way of "a fuzzy troll." EQ does strange things to our heads.

On a more related topic, my Imax tickets are booked for the 18th. I'm trying so hard not to get excited, but I can't help myself.

Yeah, they took an awesome Quicksilver and turned him into an annoying throwaway character that went to the Gypsy school of voice dialogue. It was obvious he was going to die.

That said. I wouldn't be surprised if Luke is ALREADY dead. And shows up as a ghost through the series. Otherwise fucker is going to die. It's a tried and true formula. Tough to pass on the mantle if the old guy wont leave.

I know, well past the time for spoilers.

I don't think they'd start with him dead. Old nerds like me that saw the originals in the theaters want to see him alive at least once more, and I think JJ gets that. I'd be really surprised if he did something that controversial.

the ship that crashes into the deathstar was theExecutor(upper case) a star dreadnought of the executor class (lower case) or "super star destroyer". It was Vader's personal flagship.

there were also several other executor class (lower case) ships almost all of them were used as flagships for the various Imperial Admirals and their fleets around the galaxy.

think of 7th fleet in the real world out of Japan, the USS BLUE RIDGE is the Admiral's flag ship, but there are other flagships at all of the different US Fleet Commands around the world (these sometimes are operating near one another or even in the same region rarely).

also it appears to be a star destroyer, most likely a victory or Imperial class.
