Anyway, yeah, as other people have been saying. This shit is going to destroy all box office records. Mentioned the trailer in both my classes this morning and the class basically broke out in cheers both times. These from people in the 20-30 year old brackets, who aren't steeped in the nostalgia nearly as much as my generation is. I talk about sci-fi movies quite a bit, and nothing I have mentioned before got remotely such a response.

Hooray for living in a relatively small city that happens to be the corporate home to a major movie theater chain(AMC)...shitload of screens per capita.

Snagged my IMAX 3D tickets for 10pm on the 17th, looked like plenty were still available. I think there's 3 or 4 IMAX screens around town, although they're all the "little" IMAX screens, not the true IMAX, these are only 3-4x larger than a normal movie screen, not 10x larger or whatever.

Its not Han, its Indiana Jones, time warped in from our galaxy to obtain a Jedi relic, cut down by Kylo for trying to steal Vader's mask from its place on the shrine. The bag of dirt Indy replaced the mask with wasn't the same weight after all.
