Got one for the kid for Christmas at the Disney Store today. I feel like it could have been a tad larger for 150. It is about the size of an Amibo.the bb-8 toy is available nationwide today, i bought one (for maybe regifting at christmas time, i can play with it until then). i feel kinda retarded paying $150 for a remote control sphere

They are actually pretty hefty with metal hilts and plexiglass sabers, they are licensed and also come with a mount as well. You do have to resist the urge to hit anything with it because they are not "combat ready" though
If they can get away with selling the super cheap plastic ones for $30 and $50. $150-200 for the "adult" ones are an acceptable pain point.
Also these are not kids toys they would be ruined in 20 minutes in the hands of a child.

Originally the plan was that it had weight to it much like a gyroscope in forcing it against its centrifugal force, it would be something you had to learn to use. I would still prefer that to what it is now. Made sense something so powerful that could cut thru most anything, metal and etc, had to be impractical for the common person to want to wield. Other wise, anyone would pick one up as another tool next to their Laser calipers and Hyperdrive attenuator.
Oh yeah I could smell that a mile away. My ultimate twist would be that Instead of the sister turning the brother to the light the brother corrupts the sister to the dark side and its up to Mace Dindu 2.0 to stop them.
Think its time to go into media blackout until the movie comes out. Seems like every day some news site is releasing a new bit of info.

Read the new novel "Aftermath" that is the first post-ROTJ element of the new continuity leading g up to The Force Awakens. Odd little book that does more to set up other novels than really covering much significant ground. I have to wonder if at the end
We see Thrawn. Certainly they want us to think that it is him, but they go out of their way to not give us anything concrete to go by

Last comic convention I went to, they had some good light sabers that could withstand "combat". I think it was from these people. Unfortunately, they don't do exact copies of the movie sabers.

This was a Force Fail Friday, fleecing of a license or better yet.... "License Awakens". Seen better crap at the local dollar store/Family Dollar or Walgreens/CVS. The old Kenner toys seem to have more points of motion than half this junk. While I do like the bigger figures. It seems to lose something with a lack of choices. But if you wanted to spend $4k on a Falcon bed, they have that at Potterybarn.
I understand the limited release of new stuff due to blackout till release but i think they are shooting themselves in the foot with the shortened shopping time till xmas market. They should have either release more stuff for the movies or move the movie up to allow a better xmas shopping season. I am sure they will push another toy release after the official trailer is out showing more items. All new shots in the trailer will be for the coming toy marketing train.

Ya, its twins again or brother/sister with the dark one (Kylo) following grandpa Vader and the other one (Ren) not interested in the force. Betting Luke tried to train them at an early ages and noticed the boy getting dark and greedy for power, stopped training in the hope they forget the path to the force but backfired as the boy got older and left to stay away from them as to not be a reminder. Finn comes in confused like a mutant at puberty with force powers, Ren can sense this like a Highlander and takes him to Luke to help fight her brother.
