I'm really not worried that they are killing off Chewie.

This doesn't appear to be Chewie's bandoleer, more like the brown leather jacket which has been seen on/with both Poe and Finn. More evidence that Finn probably gets killed by Kylo in the snow.

Yeah i think the same but killing a new protagonist in the first movie of the trilogy???

Expectations : pretty high and hope nothing from the prequels is mentioned or connected and that Luke is now the new Yoda, not a bad guy working for the dark side.

On second look it does look much like the bandoleer on the right with fur. He could just be hurt or unconscious though.

I can see them killing a new character, I'm really getting a vibe like this will be very dark. Huge battle over that forest world with lots of ground damage/carnage. Rey and Leia both crying. Seems like it might have an ESB tone. We can only hope.

Yeah, this seemed more like an imperial flight deck/hangar type space, and too big to be the inside of an AT-AT, so I figured it must be the Star Destroyer. I guess it could look a big like the big body part of an AT-AT laying on its side. Seems like collections relics of the rebellion/empire is a big pasttime though...

Also, this would appear to be a walker's foot, which lends more to the idea that she was in the AT-AT.

They already had a shot of a walker in the sand. She is obviously scavenging a Star Destroyer. Its two shots compressed to tell you, 'battle happened' and ' she fixes stuff like anakin'

I like how the blades look even more unstable and ragged in that still.
Most of your info sources describe Ren's blade as being ragged and unstable.

From Wookiepedia for example....
He built his own lightsaber, a dangerous and ragged design unlike that of a typical lightsaber.

He seems to be the fanatic type that is obsessive in becoming something that he has really only heard of but has no, or at least until recently, been firmly trained or exposed to the Dark Side. Seems like an interesting character. I think we may see a lot of predictable plot lines but come on... the story is what it is and i'm not looking for anything deep with some genius twist. Just give me Star Wars and I hope they don't try to overthink it.

I like how the snowflakes are reflecting the red light from the lightsaber. That's attention to fucking detail in your CGI.
Thats built into their physics engine, it's not done by hand you Luddite....

also adding to the Chewey is dead conspiracy

I meant it looks even more so in that shot than ones we've seen before.

I personally think it could be the remnants of the Death Star (Either version) which crashed down on the planet in pieces after it's destruction. The initial walkway looks very similar to the Death Star models in earlier films. Also in Return of the Jedi, a large flagship crashed head first into the 2nd Death Star before it was blown. Could be a combination of both.

Edit: Looking more closely, the second shot reminds me of a hangar bay in the Death Star, the first shot looks eerily familiar to the tunnel systems the Falcon went through on it's way to blow the main reactor.

The same thing has already happend on earth where ancient civilizations have vanished. You still have people who don't believe we landed on the moon. People tend not to believe what they don't see in person. Especially when in Star Wars everything is tech based, how easy would it be to destroy those records if they wanted to?
Still, erasing the oral tradition on hundreds of worlds? Seems a little hard.

It's a Star Destroyer. The end. It isn't an AT-AT and it certainly isn't a Death Star fragment.

That trailer was awesome. Sadly I'll be in Spain the day it is released so I'll just have to wait until I make it back. I would dig it if Luke went Darkside on us. I find that better than having an entire host of conjured up characters with minimal connections to the original set (however badass they may be).

yeah.. I was supporting your point that they're delivering visually on what's on paper. Sorry if the wording was a little funny. Kudos to the visual guys for delivering thus far.

OMG you dense cunt, no one believed in this shit back in EP4 either.

Luke Skywalker: You don't believe in the Force, do you?

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

Look at all you people talking about everyone like they gonna die. This is a disney movie, not some game of thrones episode. Nobody will die, and anyone who does die will be resurrected by next movie.

Yeah. Literally the second thing you ever learn about Star Destroyers, right after 1) They're friggin' huge is 2) They have hangar bays.

A case can be made for people forgetting everything between the prequel garbage and episode 4 maybe, but even then we were told that the Emperor and Vader wanted to wipe out all traces of the Jedi. In the original trilogy you had a total of 5 fucking force users over 3 movies and all died but 1. It isn't hard to believe people would stop believing it after 30 years. People still don't believe we landed on the fucking moon and we have video of it!
