yeah, this order makes the most sense if all the movies were a single movie. or series. Thematically, right after empire strikes back and, "I am your father", there would be a flashback showing how that happened. then, coming back to the present, for the conclusion.
And Anakins temptation is not part of the story until ep2+. Ep1 is only about palpatine, and amidala. And only barely. as, "whats palps homeplanet?" is not a vital part of the story.
not sure, I would agree on the Luke's fall being possible or likely. Anakins fall was kindof retarded. Clone wars does a much better job of giving us a conflicted Anakin, with actual reasons for being conflicted. movie anakin is just a whiny child who hates sand, and kills children because he had a bad dream.
Without episode 1, I'm free to head-canon my own version of Aniken and his motivations. He was a child slave who moved from one slave master to another (Jedi).
Yeah, sure, the Jedi "saved" him from his bondage on Tatooine. But what have they done for his mother and the other slaves? Abandoned them because they were useless to them.
Some "noble" order. What about the Republic? What were they doing to stop slavery? Not a damn thing.
So you have this kid who's got a chip on his shoulder from being a child slave and you tell him he can't use his powers to help the people he cares about. Worse, you stick him with a shitty supervisor who constantly belittles him and Lord's his non-existent wisdom over him. This shitty supervisor tells him he can't care about anyone or anything and stop having fun doing his job. Then, he starts getting premonitions about bad shit happening to his Mom, but his supervisor laughs it off - tells him he should forget about it. They're just bad dreams, don't be a pussy Aniken.
Then you send him off to fantasy paradise with a hot young down to fuck Natalie Portman. Something good happens to the guy for once in his life, but the dreams start getting worse. For the first time, the person he's with takes his premonitions seriously and they leave to find out if his mother is alive.
Fuck, no. She's totally been gang raped by the Space Muslims. So he kills a bunch of them as much to release his frustration as to get revenge. Only the slaughter doesn't satisfy him, it doesn't take away his guilt. He could have prevented this... if it wasn't for Obi Wan being a fucking retard.
So, now he no longer trusts the Jedi Order and he blames Obi Wan for his mothers death. He starts to question everything in his life, looking for a way to prevent this from happening again. He decides he can't do anything because he doesn't have the power to do it.
Then Vietnam breaks out, and he spends the next X years in a constant Battle where the incompetence of the Jedi and Republic leadership becomes unbearable.
Then he starts getting premonitions again, showing that Padme is going to die. Only this time, he's not going to make the mistake of ignoring it. He struggles to understand what he's sensing and shares his thoughts with the Emperor who reveals he can use Dark side powers to save Padme - as long as he's willing to turn against the Jedi.
Fuck it, alright. Trading one more slave master for another.
So he falls to the Dark Side, Padme dies anyway, and he spends the rest of his life using his powers to bring order to the Galaxy for the little guys. To clean up the slave trade, etc.
It's not perfect but it works for me.
