Looks like a fallen Jedi and a former warrior chick turned leader... /ducks
Well the hair color is right but Dern's character has the surname Holdo.

intrigued by the nickname "DJ" for Del Toro's character, and that its not a throwaway. As usual, another great article by VF for Star Wars.
How the hell is Phasma still alive... the other two are main plot characters so you hand wave away their survival in the aftermath... but phasma "throw her in a trash compactor" or whatever - manages to get out also?!
Kylo is actually the one who has the most logic problems for how he managed to survive. Hux bailed as soon as it became apparent the shit had hit the fan for Starkiller. Phasma probably had the clearance to move around all of the base, including in and out of it's trash compactors. KR was bleeding out in some random location in the woods as far as anyone of consequence to his survival was concerned. If they hadn't edited out the scene with him finding the Millennium Falcon we could have assumed that his escort was ordered to go find him and they would have been close enough to get to him before the planet imploded.
Wasn't Hux ordered to go get Kylo at the end?
Really? That is the best he has ever looked to me, but to each his own...
I thought in TFA he looked like shit, frail and weak, and was terrible casting. He looks far more Imperial there with an extremely strong healthy high-cheekboned facial structure which is probably accented by his hairstyle there.
Well remember they "cast" the armor before they ever cast Christie to wear it. The silver trooper armor was originally supposed to be for Vader 2.0 (Kylo Ren) but they later opted to go with a darker motif more reminiscent of the original issue. But they liked the look of the silver armor so much they decided to create a character to show it off anyway.
I don't envy whoever had to photograph that. Drives me crazy that you can see the ceiling and scrims in the reflection
Not just the men, but the women and children. Slaughtering younglings too.
I can believe it, but the tactful thing to do would be something like... not mentioning that she demanded it. lol.
