One thing for sure, the accelerated game timer is one of the dumbest things in this game. It can't be mocked enough.Scientists Warn of Swarm Host Threat | Esports Express

It's only that way because the game is being played at a faster-than-normal speed. You could argue the default should be the ladder speed and the clock simply slows when played slower. One thing for sure, the accelerated game timer is one of the dumbest things in this game. Oh, I thought I was watching protoss best of the best..They really need to fix the obvious massive imbalance in the game right now. Watching a thousand PvPs with a PvZ sprinkled in and not a Terran in sight does not make for an interesting tourny.

If you look at past GSL performances during the "Great Terran Imba" (that was never worse than the current state of Protoss nor worse than end of life WoL Zerg) you'll notice most all the Terrans that got far weren't a product of the balance but proven themselves to be quality players.Insert trolling comments about protoss players are honestly just better than everyone else here
I honestly don't know how the open bracket is working. Clearly it isn't "open" or else you wouldn't have nothing but top level foreign pros and non-KR region Koreans playing there. But yeah the groups already look quite nice. I somewhat expect two Zergs to emerge from this current open round. Hyun, Violet and Leenock are the three best in there. So I'll hope for that to try and even up the races a bit. I need to see TvZ action because my TvZ is abysmal right now.Was there just not any terrans that signed up for these open groups? Seems weird the only terran in these final stages of open stages was Revenge, who imo isn't even that great of a korean terran.
I guess if you look at the bracket stage though, there are 6 terrans, 5 protoss & 1 zerg that was straight invited to group stage (I think they were invited?)
Although now with 2 protoss advancing from open 1, and then either 2p, 1p1z or 2z advancing from Open 2, it'll be quite a sad day for zerg in group stages. Nothing but TvPs and PvPs lol. Then again if Hyun or Leenock make it through, either of them, or Jaedong could go far as well. I also don't see Innovation losing in this first round of group stages so there will at least be a terran in the Ro8...
