Not sure how similar it is but Valiant Hearts was a pretty good war-centric game. Think it was free on PS Plus at one point so will maybe see discounts on Steam.

Watch streams/cook dinner/play sc2. In 1x speed the game moves extremely slow, slow enough to where you could literally que up a few things and do those other things while the game played itself in 1x speed. Maps are huge, but there isn't a lot of stuff to fill it with. I had fun with it for about 9 hours and then I realized I had done basically everything and there was nothing left to do but wait for a natural disaster to occur. There are some annoying quirks with the game like people idling about when they should be working, this is particularly annoying because there already aren't enough people in your village to go around as is.

So if you're big into city builders for $5, I'd say its $5 well spent, but if its not one of your favorite genres you can skip it.

Wow, Gemcraft: Chasing shadows is on Steam for 4?, if you like tower defense, that game is pure crack. You can still play the free version on armorgames.com

if you have nothing else to play, yes its a good game. if you don't plan on playing immediately id wait though, they just announced a DLC which means they should put the base game on sale a lot more often

I have not, but its been on my wishlist for awhile so I just purchased it. Based on the reviews seems worth dropping 5 bucks on. I'll check it out this weekend.
