Sometimes they do make exceptions though. The Steam refund offer, within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime, applies to games and software applications on the Steam store.
I have all these except life is strange. Do not wantyeah your playtime has to be less than 2 hours too
Humble Bundle is up too, a bunch of Square Enix games like Tomb Raider1-3, Murdered Soul Suspect, Last Remnant. Seems to be kinda shitty though, like only episode 1 of life is strange and FF14:ARR (MMO with sub) and a coupon for 20% off Just Cause 3 instead of the game. In a year they will do another SE bundle and include all the 2015 games

50 shades of Sales
My life in just sailed
Im on a rail GIVE ME A SALE
That's a good thing really, means you don't have to wait the entire sale to buy whatever game you want to see if it's on a daily/flash, and instead just buy your shit.
I like the change. Fuck waiting just to see if a game I wanna buy will get an even bigger discount. And especially fuck missing out on a better price because I was too late to check Steam that day.
I hated the flash/daily sale system. It made it so I never wanted to buy anything NOT on the flash or daily which is counter to what a sale should do which is generate sales. So if I missed out I just wouldn't buy the title.
Yup, same for me. I'd end up waiting for a "better" deal, it'd never come, and I'd just end up not purchasing the game at all.
Well. Where's the praise now?Although I did like the aspect of finding out what the new discounts were everyday, I think I like it better this way. At least you know up front what's on sale and you have the entire length of the sale to buy what you want with no surprises. It'll be curious if they are doing their little games again and if there is going to be any incentives since sales always tied to them before.
Is everyone supposed to come derail this thread for 20 pages arguing about the pros and cons of flash sales and daily deals? I am in favor of just having the sale be the sale, too, for many of the reasons you quoted from other people.Well. Where's the praise now?
