3 and liberation are bottom tier assassins creed games, pretty much at the bottom and not worth it unless you have played every other game. Unity is only good if you are a huge France/Paris fan boi, i guess if you can name all the arrondissements and know your french revolutionary history you will love that shit. for everyone else, its a shitty game (technical) with a boring story and main character.

Syndicate is pretty good, for me its right below AC4 and AC2, if you liked those you will like Syndicate its more of the same stuff (no ship fighting though, Rogue has that). there is still one more DLC coming out though for Syndicate so i'd just wait at this point for the gold edition to be $10-20 on PC, which will happen in 4-6 months.

Man, III had some good reviews and I'm an Alerican Revolution fanboi...that stinks to hear about it. What didn't you like about it?

As it stands Rogue and the BF mini sequel are for sure buys. On the off chance, did you like Rogue? If I liked Black Flag I should enjoy that too you think?

The main character in AC3 is a retard who just does whatever other people tell him to, so playing as him it gets annoying and frustrating super fast. He is supposed to come off as brooding and hulking but ends up like Hodor. Ironically the DLCs for AC3 are fantastic, its a reimagined world where George Washington is a tyrant. Also most of AC3 takes place in the wilds, so all you climb are tall trees. Its not an assassins creed game, feels more like Far Cry really.

yes Rogue for sure is a buy, if you liked BF you will like Rogue. Its from the viewpoint of a Templar and it has ship fighting so its really fun.

For me AC games are all about immersion, I totally get lost in the worlds of Italy, Caribbean, and now London. After playing AC2 I ended up taking 3-4 trips to various parts of Italy, after AC4 wife and I went on a 2 week windjammer cruise in the carribean and then 2 more weeks later just touring around the islands. I love it when games motivate me to do shit IRL. If only Battlefront could motivate me to build a lightsaber.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't like DA:I either. I remember liking the DA:O, didn't play the second because how much the internet shit on it, but the third was horrible. Babysitting incompetent AI teammates and a clunky combat engine was not how I remembered DA:O.

I'd really like to try DS2, but I don't know if it's my cup o tea. That's a lot of someone else's money to spend on something I may not like.

If you can't find anyone else that wants it, I'd like to try it out. My co-worker is a fanboy and has been bugging me to pick it up.

Doom 3 is like the Diet Coke of scary games. You just need to understand that it mostly spawns shit directly behind you, and you can roll just fine. It throws a buttload of annoying monsters out there instead of jumpscares as you go on.

At least you can fight back. Try playing something like Outlast where you can only hide and take pictures.

If you got the D3 BFG edition it comes with Doom1 and 2 as well. I played more on those than Doom3.

The starting Handgun in D3 has to be the worst pistol in any game, ever. It shoots so fucking slow it's worthless.

telltale games collection on sale as daily xbox deal, $36.30 for 5 games - walking dead 1 & 2; wolf among us; tales from borderlands; game of thrones. you DON'T get back to the future or minecraft stories. all the games are good except for game of thrones, i'd skip that one its trash and a terrible ending.

That's a pretty awful deal for Telltale Collection. Those games have been $5 or less on both Steam and PS4; it's even worse if you don't count GoT because it sucked.

I'd definitely jump on the Alien one if it was for PS4 though. I played it on PS3 and it's good enough that I'd play it again with the DLC. Funny to see it mentioned right after Doom 3 too, it's only about a hundred times better at both atmosphere and gameplay.

Worst thing about Doom 3 is that apparently duct tape doesn't exist or your character is too fucking stupid to use some to attach the flashlight to his gun. Anyone really intent on inflicting the misery of playing that game upon themselves should at least get the mod that lets you use the light with all the guns (here).
