The only Steam sale I really liked was the Christmas 2011 one I think. Where they basically gave all kinds of shit out for free if you got achievements and shit in different games. That was awesome.

Admittedly I am buying less and less from these steam sales by virtue of the fact that I seem to already own everything. My "games" list is just pages of greyed out entries.
Same here. I'm hoping that finally this year it means I don't buy much at all. The only thing I'm really looking for is the Borderlands 2 Season Pass/DLC stuff. Beyond that, I can't really think of much that I have been dying to have that I don't own...which means that I'll somehow spend an assload again, but hopefully not.

I like that Valve still hasn't fixed Steam to allow you to add DLC to your wishlist.

Also, I'm not seeing the psycho(krieg?) character DLC on Steam for BL2.

Dishonored is up for a community vote at $10.20.

FarCry 3 is up for a community vote, but would only have '30%' off, at $24. Will wait for a daily deal on that and hope it gets 50%+ off.

BioShock Infinite is sitting at $30 as a Daily Deal, so doubt it will get much lower this sale. Will probably wait until the Christmas one to pick it up for $15-20.

Scribblenauts for $5 is awesome if you like that sort of game. Don't Starve for $12 (Only 20% off, but a great game). Endless Space for $10.

Nothing else really worth it (First day and all - Lots of time to wait). Daily Deals are what you want to wait for, Flash Deals can be alright, but usually Daily Deals are better.

Skyrim only being 30% off as a 'flash' deal for $20.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is really enjoyable if you like campy westerns. You basically play the part of some guy that claims to be involved in every big happening western story. Seems like it was made in the same engine as far cry 3.

I must be crazy. My big score this go around would be Prison Architect for 10 bucks. 10% off on $30 doesn't really work for me on an alpha build, but fuck... it looks like my kind of trouble.

BL2 Season Pass is 33% off all sale long, so I guess we hope for a 50-66% daily/flash sale at some point.

I'm definitely looking at those community deals as both Farcry 3 and Dishonored I'd like to get. Problem is do I pick them up if one of them gets the community deal or do I wait and hope they eventually go on sale for cheaper during the whole sale. Hmmmmm. Also really want to pick up The Walking Dead. I see it's on sale for 50% atm, but I'm sure the summer sale will have it go cheaper! I also hope FF7 gets a sale. I know it just got released on steam but I'd for sure pick that up if it went 50% off.

How is Dishonored anyway? Reviews seem to say it was pretty good (but short?) anyone have terrible problems with it?

It's not *that* short. The biggest problem with the game is that it's a stealth game in which the dude you play as is so ungodly powerful that there's simply no need to ever stealth at all, unless you basically never upgrade anything. That to me is the sort of terrible design I expect from Bethesda as a developer, not as a publisher for Arkane Studios + Harvey Smith. The story and overall world/art design still makes it worth playing though.
