When I originally went to post this it was 35-36$ after posting it and double checking the link it said 40$ so I had to edit it. Its now back to 36$.
It's $40, and subscribers get 10% off everything... so when you're actually logged in and looking at the price, that's why you see $36.

Dumb question, but my google fu is weak. If I buy a game on GMG, and it gives me a steam key to d/l and activate the game, is that game linked to my steam account for download forever? Like if I get a new PC, i'll be able to re-d/l it through steam?

Yes.

Steam keys that are redeemed to a specific account stay with that account. If you purchased a new computer or had to reinstall, then you would be able to download the Steam interface and download any games you had previously purchased on Steam again. Mind you, not all games have 'cloud' support, so after a reinstall, you may lose any saved progress in that game.

Yes. The games linked to your Steam account can be downloaded on any machine you log into your Steam account on.

Thanks. I know games purchased *through* steam work like that, I was just curious how it worked for GMG bought games.

So long as you get the code through a reputable vendor (GMG is one), the game is yours so long as your Steam account is not banned/stolen.

There are some third/fourth party vendors who sell 'discount' Steam codes. But buyer beware and all that. Humble Bundle, GMG, Amazon, etc. are all fine with codes.

Killing floor is 3.99 and free to play for a week. Pretty much the most replayable game I own. I have like 250+ hours into it and always go back for more. It's absolute, pure gameplay. No story, cutscenes, or other fluff, you just jump in and start killing. The class system is great, with each class filling certain niches, the community is surprisingly awesome, and there's a pretty high skill ceiling in the later modes (suicide, hell on earth) that definitely weed out the pros from the chaff. It's pretty much a 6-player co-op wave based arcade shooter, and each class is good for killing specific types of monsters or doing certain things.

GoG's huge sale has it's finalehttp://www.gog.com/news/2013_nodrm_s...24_final_hoursUp to 85% off for the final 24 hours.

Fuck your triple AAA $60 modern bullshit and grab some history, you'll be amazed how many of them have stayed pretty damn relevant and have fun in spades.

A couple I'd personally recommend that are different to the "Buy the D&D packs!" etc

http://www.gog.com/promo/might_and_magic_megapack($8.45)M&M 1-9 plus Crusaders of M&M. M&M 4-5 as one big game and 6 are classics in their own right, Crusaders is a 3rd person action game which is hilariously good/bad.

http://www.gog.com/gamecard/king_of_dragon_passA choose your own adventure title with raiding, religion, angry asskicking ducks and hilariously bad advisors. I've seen it also classed as a Barbarian Cow Farming Simulator. It's also out on IOS etc but in the sale this is just $1.49 and I'm sure you'll get your moneys worth out of it.

Witcher 2 $5.99, shush and buy it alreadyhttp://www.gog.com/gamecard/the_witcher_2

Lastly, Defender's Quest ($3.74) is in this sale BUT if you go to the devs own website he is price matching GOG and giving you a DRM free version PLUS a Steam key as it now has workshop integration and a set of Trading Cardshttp://www.defendersquest.com/buy.htmlEdit: Oh wow, it also gives you a GoG key so yeah, getting it from this link is a no brainer indeed!

Already own BL2 and don't care for NBA, but xcom + bioshock for $30 a piece is tempting...

So... Interstellar Marines. Not on sale, but early release. Looks kind of interesting. Anyone got the skinny?

For those of you wanting to play Bioshock Infinite cheap, just go to ebay and buy an AMD Never Settle card. It's the keys for the free games you get when you buy an AMD video card, and people that don't want them just ebay and email you the code. They can't really scam you either as because there is no shipping#/tracking, ebay will side with you if you claim you didn't receive the item. You can get 2-3 games for like 20 bucks. I myself got Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, and Far Cry Blood Dragon for 20 bucks total. You can get combinations of just Tomb Raider/Bioshock Infinite, or Bioshock Infinite/Crysis 3, etc.
