Witcher 2 is supposed to be great but I still haven't installed it, Grimrock is a great flash back in time with a ton of user made campaigns now.

Farcry 3 is up for $7.50, is the deluxe edition worth the extra $2.50?

edit- think I've seen Grimrock on sale for less a few times

keep in mind the steam winter sale is repeating again in 2 weeks, and probably will be the same deals. so if you miss something no big deal

I think its a factor of the sales just being so constant. that is the danger. Offer too many sales and each sale is less impactful.

it just SEEMS like there is less, because you already bought all the games you wanted on sale on the LAST sale.
So now, each sale there is only like maybe 1 new game. Vs when it started and you bought like 3-4 years worth of backloged games.
Steam is also no longer the only player in town. We used to eagerly anticipate the Steam Winter Sale because it was the only way to get really good deals on digital games. Now, we regularly have Steam's competitors either price matching them or even doing better and over more points during the year. I mean, hell, we literally have a new Humble Bundle every single week now. Before, my mindset during this Steam sale would've been, "Oh wow, I better pick that up. It's not going to be that cheap again for ages!" and now it's, "Hmm... I think I'll wait and see if GMG or Amazon mark it down more." or "I bet that game ends up in a bundle eventually."

I didn't realize Rocksmith had ported over to the computer. I have the original Rocksmith for the Xbox, along with 3.5mm jack to USB cable that comes with the game.

Might be worth picking up if I can do it on the computer now.

Edit: Speaking of GMG... I haven't heard anyone link over to them this whole Sale weekend. Are they just not doing anything? Guess I should go check them out.

Godus is in the steam daily deals right now, looks sort of like an updated populus, which I really enjoyed, so I'm thinking of picking it up, anyone try this game out already?

I don't know how RS was on the 360 but on the PS3 load times were unbearable. If you have a halfway competent PC it makes the game actually playable. 2014 is also much better than vanilla Rocksmith.

I think I've picked up a total of 3 games the last 3 Steam sales they've had, nothing seems worth it anymore or it's a ton of games I've never heard of.

So far I picked up.
BF4
ME3
Dark Souls (Been waiting for it to drop below 10 bucks forever)

Last Sale.
Nothing

They've been doing 4 deals (plus one bonus deal) every 4 hours, but I can't say as I've seen much that's been notable.

I think it was a pretty great sale, though not steam specifically. I got..

Batman arkham origins, BF4 both for $20, Farcry 3 for 7.50, max payne 3 for 3.50. Wizardry 6,7,8 for $3, call of jaurez gunslinger for $5, Eurotruck for $6, and a handful of indies for under $1. Pretty good, I think.

The impression I got from looking into it is that it's still very alpha, rough without regular updates etc. Would love a new version of populous but doubt I could handle anything that isn't polished enough to release status yet.
