I was really hoping The Bureau would turn out to be some sort of Rainbow Six / SWAT4 style tactical FPS based on what they were saying about it after it got delayed.

It didn't.

Last day of the GameFly Winter Sale. Mostly a recap of the previous days, but the prices are slightly lower it seems.

The biggest highlight is probably XCOM: Enemy Within for $16 (use GFDDEC20). That's the lowest price it's been anywhere, so far.

For squad-based tactical shooters, those are the most recent examples which actually were good games. I'd kill for a SWAT5 that was still made by Irrational and which got rid of the silly focus on non-lethal weapons.

SWAT 4 was awesome because of the focus on nonlethal. Last serious FPS clan I was in played SWAT 4 most of the time and the whole cops and robbers thing was good times.

Looks like you can pretty much ignore Amazon outside of 12/24-12/26, though they will probably price match deals at other places the rest of the time.

Yeah, Amazon has gotten to the point where they almost always match Steam's deals. But the advantage of buying through Amazon over Steam will be the $5 voucher for Editor's Choice games you'll get in January. From what I recall last year, there were some really good deals to be had with those, that is, if you didn't already buy everything you wanted during the Christmas sales.
