Ok, now that I have failed a few times with my Galactic Empire, I come to you guys to see what QoL mods I should install. I normally like to grind other empires to dust, but am open to anything that will make the game more enjoyable. I currently use the 1080p UI overhaul mod and the down scaled ships mod. Thanks in advance!

Soooo .... Stellaris vs the Master of Orion reboot ... tried to get into the MOO reboot multiple times but got bored and uninstalled. Is this much better?
MOO reboot seemed like a sure thing with the base game mechanics and quality voice acting talent. But .... just could not get into it.

I like the border station changes and I’m thrilled about the Titans and tech tree additions but I’m really disappointed with the warp changes. I’ve never liked hyperlanes and this feels like a lazy fix to some of the early-mid wormhole cheese.
I really hope they pare that down and keep the warp styles more or less intact instead of forcing the hyperlane-only play style they’ve admitted they prefer internally.
It kinda narrows the game and diminishes the sim-like sandboxiness of it.

im really looking forward to this. i tend to play with buffed defensive stations and hyperlanes only to actually be able to defend space, but you still have borders crawling outside your spacelanes making passage weird. this is gonna sync all that to the same system and balance it properly.

Arumba is solid. I used to watch a lot of his EU4 videos. There's better players out there that stream compared to him, but I always found him a little better at explaining what hes doing in his game and why compared to most streamers.

Yup, that's why I watch him. I love it just after a new patch when he's trying to figure out new mechanics. A year or so ago I remember a notorious live stream of EU4 (I think) that eneded in a 3 hour Excel stream because he was trying to figure out the exact math behind some new mechanic. Gotta love autism of that calibre!

Much later than I expected. When this set of developer diaries began for the next update I didn't even realize it was about an expansion. I was hoping for the travel and station re-work before christmas. Very eager all the same.
My biggest want is still less abstraction for domestic and intergalactic economics. Let me play as space Venice, Switzerland, Vegas, etc.
