I'm the wrong person to ask. I don't "get" Japanese food. I don't like sushi, kaiseki or washoku sooo...
Japanese does have some great "commoner" food though. Yakitori, Yakiniku, Tempura, Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and Gyuudon are all great.
All the food on Shokugeki no Souma looks delicious though. I re-watched the entire series in anticipation of Season 2, and I can't watch it hungry or I have to go eat something immediately.
How's the local food in Hawaii? All I know about the food there is macadamia chocolate and loco moco.

Slice of Life is pretty good, some of the comedy is enjoyable.
Last season had some great shows of that genre, like Sakamoto desu ga?, Netoge no Yome, and Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge.

Those are the ones that are somewhat realistic, anything beyond that involves more fantasy or supernatural like Hataraku Maou-Sama or Kokoro Connect. Others would be harem stuff, which not everyone is interested.

Subaru is turning into such a little bitch. But that ending was pretty good. I take it Subaru will commit suicide with one of the swords and rewind again.

I turned if off in disgust. Why are they skipping story arcs? The first arc is the most intense thing I've seen in manga, I wanted to see him fight the sex demon and the snake demon and the slug demon. I heard they are even skipping the fairy demon children he slaughters. That's all the good bits!
Couldn't believe it when he frees the fairy and everyone in the inn isn't shot in the face with his xbow. They fucked it up.
EDIT: Watched the whole thing and it's a decent adaptation of the story arc they are doing, no Hirasawa Susumu music other than for the next episode preview hurts it though - I love my anime openings and they don't have a good one. I don't see how they have enough to run an anime off given their late starting point and that the author does a few chapters a year if your lucky with years hiatuses.

I've only watched Berserk and Shokugeki thus far. Both are lived up (Berserk slightly less so) to my internal hype. I think the Berserk episode was a great introduction to the Black Swordsman post-prologue, even if the CGI stuff was... not incredibly amazing. It was serviceable.

D.GMan im not so sure about - its been such a long hiatus they should have restarted - people who have never read or watched it may not give a fuck about it starting so randomly.
Berserk is good, what else can be said except i wish UFOTABLE was doing its animation but its still good
Tales is good, the story in the game was ok but this animation is full on erection worthy (imagine if it was in Berserk amirite?!)
Taboo Tattoo is ok, seems its going to fill the void on throw away shows
Shokugeki 2 - needs no introduction, orgasms of butter and spice everywhere.
Amaam to Izanuma - Slice of life about a father and his energetic kid - im such a sucker for this shit.
Arslan - Sucker for this shit too,. where the fuck is my kingdom and akatsuki no yona?!?
Rewrite was 45mins of nothing, nothing explained, nothing made sense so i hope episode 2 is something.
B Project - i lasted 2 FULL MINUTES
Mononokean? - Boring.
ReLife - Good, binged it till it was no more.
Kabaneri was the disappointment of last season, it went full retard.
What else is coming out that we have to look forward to?
