1984 was a riot. McDonalds basically gave away free Big Macs all Summer long after the Russians pulled out of the Olympics.

It originally aired in 1979 but watching 'Salem's Lot at my cousins house in the early 80s is one of my earliest and most disturbing memories. Just finding this goddamn picture creeped me out again...

Maybe someone has a better memory than I do. There was a show that I used to watch sometime around 1983-4 (Live Action). I remember it was weird, something with young adults or adults and they would enter a home or lair or something from this lower level up stairs and through something that looked like foam. I think it had to do with magic or something. It felt kinda soap operay. Any ideas?

Anyway:







Looking at The Racoons, I think it might have been slightly antisemitic...

I'm pretty sure that was one of the shows on Nick's "The Third Eye" in 1983. I posted a few pics and vids a few pages back.

Yes, it did! But I don't remember it working very well. I think my favorite part was the trap door that dropped characters into a hammock (although they usually rolled right off).

Even though the movie itself was released in 79, it was during the 80s that it was shown on television. And, as a kid, scared the absolute shit out of me.

Funny, though -- I went back and rewatched Amityville Horror a few years ago and it was actually pretty lame and not really scarey at all.

Same with me but with Ghostbusters. Even though the movie is technically a comedy it scared the living crap out of me as a kid.
