I played III on DS for a bit and it is a miserable game at just about every level (haphazard plot and opaque leveling system being the worst offenders), so it's no great loss. Come to think of it... I never played II, but considering I is pretty bare bone and III is a trainwreck, my motivation is not too high.

On a side note: Is Versus XIII officially vaporware if it is not shown at E3?

FFII is the single worst Final Fantasy game ever made, you are not missing anything by not having played it.

I'm pretty sure Versus XIII isnevergetting released. If it is, it won't be called Versus XIII and will have been rebranded as FFXV or something else.

Final Fantasy II is great. Cecil and Kain are two of the best characters in the whole series. I like to put the Dragoon equipment on Kain and roleplay that he is a lancer from Final Fantasy Tactics with his jump skill.

There's only one III:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_IIIIt's an NES game that is also on the DS and PSP, it is not FF6.

America has used he proper numbering system since1999and that's what we're using here, anyone not using it is adipshit. Tuco has deemed it so.

Are you sure?

Final Fantasy III is the one with Locke, Terra, etc. and Final Fantasy II is the one with Cecil, Kain Rosa.

Both of those are generally considered the best 2 Final Fantasy games ever made.

yeah, FF13 is universally considered the worst game of the entire franchise.

Nah, FF12 is pretty decent compared to FF2. That shit is seriously bad. Has like a worse leveling system than Oblivion did.

Sure, I'll buy that. FF12 vs. FF13, though? I personally think that 13 comes out ahead.
