The nemesis have a chance of dropping permanent stat boosters I think, they are bosses and quite hard though so just ignore them for now - no disadvantage to having them there.Bravely Default just keeps getting better.
I am about 6ish hours into it (maybe only 3-4 for people who just go straight for objectives), only unlocked 4 classes (monk, white mage, black mage, knight), and highest job is level 3. Not tried the demo, so no idea what the later classes are, but when I got access to the world map, I got that "ohhh" feeling that has been lost in FF games for a long time due to their more recent linear nature. It seems big. When I downloaded Zelda, it took 5200ish blocks of the memory card to install (however much that is...), Bravely Default took around 21000 I think it was. Granted lots of that might be cut scenes, but other than the opening, not seen any of those which weren't in game.
Have a question though. In the game, you have that StreetPass thing that gives you builders to build up your town. Each friend pass gives 10 builders, however, it also lets you use something called "update data" which sends your game to the Nintendo servers, and once per day sends 5 friend invites or something to random people who also has the game, and it gives you 5 builders. The problem I have is that doing this also imports enemies (Nemesis) to your village build map. There does not seem to be any filter on who you friend invite, so their levels are all around the place. Now have around 10 nemesis things on my village map, where the lowest is level 20 and several are level 99. I think they persist as well. The level 99 ones are from Japan, with descriptions in Japanese letters. Some of the ones from Japan don't even have a graphic (most do, showing what type of mob it is).
What is the deal with them? I have not fought them yet because my highest character is level 12 and I am still using the level 1 gear. Will they do anything to the village? Do I need to fight them eventually? 5 of them are the same level 20 nemesis. One from Square Enix and 4 similar named ones from other players.
Also, for note to the people who still don't have the game, if this is something you care about. In the opening intro, it asks for an AR card which apparently can be implemented into it (not sure how it works). It asks for the one that came with the game, but as I bought it as a digital download, I couldn't do that. It wouldn't register any of the ones that came with the 3DS (cards of Mario, Luigi, Link, etc). I tried putting Link down, and it didn't do anything. So if you want "everything" in the game, get the physical copy for the AR card and whatever that does.
Thank youThe nemesis have a chance of dropping permanent stat boosters I think, they are bosses and quite hard though so just ignore them for now - no disadvantage to having them there.
I would suggest ploughing your builders into the weapons shop for the "Fox Tail" axe, it has slightly less attack power than other endgame axes but has an insane number of extra attacks on it. Save up for one and when you get Pirate, you'll have some fun times (then go Swordsmaster after).
Could have sworn I saw 6, but now I don't see it on the iOS App Store. I can't imagine it's an Android exclusive, but maybe.*On the FF android subject. I have FF 4 for it, and it is really good. Only downside is that it can be a bit "meh" to scroll the various abilities. Touch screen is a bit sensitive (using a Samsung Galaxy S4). Is there a graphically updated (like 4 and 5) version of FF 6?
I just looked again. It is there (on Android). Doesn't seem to have the same graphical overhaul as 4 and 5 though going by the screenshots on the store.Could have sworn I saw 6, but now I don't see it on the iOS App Store. I can't imagine it's an Android exclusive, but maybe.
FFT TWotL was a PS+ title, guess too early for you?Btw there's a Final Fantasy sale going on on PSN:https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwo...FFFRANCHISESAL
Some of those things are normally $20 like FF4 Complete Collection and FF3. That version of FF4 on the PSP is by far the best one (leaving out the after years nonsense) and playable on the Vita, so I think I'll grab that.
FFT: The War of the Lions and FF3 are tempting too.
Think I'm 16 or so hours in on my vita version. In the library now, but I havent played it in a long time. I'd guess I'm about 60% in iirc from when I played long ago.Loving FFV so far. Just got to the first bird boss at the top of the wind tower. About 45 minutes into it at this point. Steam has corrupted me, and I love being able to know how much time I've put into a game.
Was confused about why I couldn't switch my jobs, but I read on the wikia that as I discover other crystals, that opens up access to other jobs.
So curious, how many hours do people normally put into FFV? Just trying to get a sense of how long the game is.
I started reading the story on the wikia, and stopped where I was up to where I was, so I didn't spoil anything, but I kept scrolling and the story went on forever! I'm guessing I have 20-30 hours of game play at least with this thing!
Looks great on my Nexus 7 tablet.
Got some more details on it. He said that he played for about 5 hours. Got to a big boss, and when he beat it, end credits rolled? This is basically 3rd hand, and maybe my dumb nephew thought credits rolled, and they didn't? Who knows. I'll let them know they F'ed up and to try again!FF3 mobile is a 3d remake of a DS game, like IV. No way he finished it one day unless he's played the game so many times that he can do a speed run. It's a 30+ hour game easily.
The game is bigger than the map, locations are reused.Curious, how long is the game? Looking at the time it takes me to progress now, and the size of the map, it looks like a 50++ hour game, that right? I hope it is anyways. Really, really liking it.
No, you can't. No PS3 emulators. The PS3 versions also have all the International Version extra content for the Japs (not really international) that wasn't released in the US.You can emulate the PS3 HD remasters?
