What, you don't like clockwork babies with only half their face showing? I mean, who doesn't like that?

Yeah easily the worst boss in FF history that I can remember, though I haven't beaten X-2, 13-2 or 13-3 yet. There might be more retarded ones hidden somewhere.

13-2 had a retarded story but the bosses weren't too retarded looking.. although the main antagonist was far too flamboyant.

Haven't even attempted to beat 13-3 yet.. I have no faith in the company.

Type 0 has a translation out and the game is really, really, really good. They are making a HD remake next year for PS4, but screw that. It's a ton of action combat with a more ....classic... final fantasy story. Crystals, warring nations, you have a ton of characters. Its action based and not ATB. It should have been given a bigger budget and called FF13. So much better.

And it's also a very mature rating with it too, lots of blood and chaos like a war should be.

I caved and finally picked up a 3DS. Yes, I know the "new 3ds" is coming soon but w/e, I can either trade this one in when the new one comes or just say fk it because there probably won't be tooooo many games that are only available on the new 3ds. Plus, there is a huge backlog of games I can pick up and play.

Currently only grabbed Fire Emblem Awakening and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. Figured those 2 games should keep me busy for awhile and then probably pick up Bravely Default sometime soon as well as possibly one of the zelda games just because. If you guys have any other must have 3ds games let me know, I've been looking at many of the "top 10/25/50 3ds game" lists out there on websites, so might just slowly start picking up some of those "top" games when I need something new to play.

Its through the eshop, but you can get Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Links Awakening DX for 3ds. imo some of the better Zelda games.

If you're a JRPG nut, you might consider Shin Megami Tensei IV. It's pretty fucking hard for an rpg, and it takes several hours for its quality to sink in. I'm playing it now and have put 30 hours in this week.

I didn't mind that actually, thought it was quite creepy and cool.

The problem was that the early game bad guy and minion of the big bad was actually *plot twist* the big bad. Like you finish Midgar in FF7, go grind around Kalm then go back to Midgar to fight Rufus Shinra again who merges with JENOVA and the game fucking ends right there.

People horribly die in the first few minutes to set the stakes. Its like the exact opposite of the death at the start of ff12. Chocobos are not even safe dude.

Yep, the poor chocobos I played the fan translated version, and man if they honestly didn't Censor the shit I'm gonna be floored....

Unlike Nintendo.....(No Fatal Frame 4/5 because of the gore *facepalm*)

An actual world map for the first time since 9? About god damn time. I didn't play 13 so don't know if you can run/fly around in it. Also 11 an 14 don't count.

Not exactly. 12 was mostly "Small zones" that made up a world. Think of it like EverQuest as opposed to World of Warcraft.
