I always thought it was "good" and usually pretty cheap. 2for1 shouldn't be bad. My guess is it's probably old if it's really bad.

Lagunitas IPA is the standard that I hold all IPAs to. It's perfectly average.

Woot the Smuttynose variety pack FINALLY ditched the Star Island Single. And wouldn't you know it replace it with a badass black IPA. It's seriously been years since they've changed up this 12 pack.

Bought a 6 pack of jai alai after buying a few 6 packs of Invasion pale ale and I gotta say... the Invasion is just tastier than jai alai. Thank God it gets like no hype so it stays under $9/6pack here.

I grabbed a bottle of this to try when I got the 1809 yesterday .... dear God, what a glorious sour.

You really need to think of buying a sour more in terms of buying a bottle of wine rather than comparing it to other beer prices. Maybe their regular beer prices are that high as well, I dunno, but in terms of a sour that is pretty reasonable.

The lowest their beers go around me is $18. I'd say the majority of what I find from them is $21 with the odd $18 in there some times.

Have been on a big sour/wild kick lately.

My go-to sour is Monk's Cafe as it is light, not as tart as most, very easy drinkability. Rodenbach is probably my favorite of all the sours, it is one of the original modern sours afterall. You can also never go wrong with The Lost Abbey, but very hard to get outside of the west coast. I have 3 local (within 75miles) breweries that do sours/wilds. Against the Grain in downtown Louisville specializes in sours. Upland Brewery in Bloomington, Indiana makes an incredible sour, but is also brewed 2 months a year sadly. Crooked Stave Vienne is pretty decent, tastes like tart grape soda. Bell's Oarsman is so-so, I use it as a last resort...

Petrus to me is overrated and for the same cost, mind as well go Rodenbach.

Trying an Alesmith IPA right now. I might be willing to concede that San Diego is currently the IPA capitol of the world, and anyone who knows me and how biased I am towards the PNW beer scene would know that is not an easy thing for me to admit.

headed to a tapping of Stone Enjoy By 4/20 tonight. So excited, their Enjoy By line never disappoints.
Er... that's getting "old" as it were. I managed to get some of it a few weeks ago, and it's better than the others of the same series I've had.

Fuck that is awesome. I've only had two of the series, are they similar? They didn't seem to me, but I had one months ago (very herbal and dank) and then I've had a bunch of the 4/20 (resinous and very piney).

They change them up. It's kinda like the CCB Hopped on the High Seas where they use different hops in each variation.
