Just read the Gizmodo article cause I was curious how somebody could recommend PSVR as THE VR system to invest in right now. Article was shit. Admits pretty much everything on PSVR is worse than Rift and Vive including the tracking and display. So what was his sale point? "Despite the fact that the headset’s hardware and tracking are less impressive than what’s offered by competitors, Playstation VR still wins because it has the best line up of games on any VR system. Ever." ... except he goes on to say Batman was about the only fun game he played and it only lasts an hour. Basically said every other game he tried sucked. "Games are all brief and feel more like technical showcases than experiences meant to consistently entertain." He's pretty much saying you should invest your money in a worse headset, whose hardware you won't be able to upgrade for a long time, because he thinks Sony might be able to get game makers to create actually fun VR games as some point in the future...
Hope for that writer's sake he got some $ from Sony for that one.

I mean, it is basically this ranking, right?
1. HTC Vive- Most expensive and steepest hardware requirements, best experience, can move around if you find that more immersive. Good for pc users, open source fans, and rich people that have the nicest shit. Valve/Steam
2. Playstation VR- Low barrier and cost of entry, most user friendly, plug and play, decent library of games even if they are just tech demos at this point. Good for people that already have a PS4. Sony/Playstation
3. Google Cardboard- Lowest cost of entry. Limited to experiences you can get on your phone. Good for people that love porn. Google/people with cereal boxes and scissors
4. Occulus Rift- Middle of the road quality, cost, and experience. Solid, but doesn't do anything better or more innovative than it's competitors. Good for pc users and people that love Mark Zuckerburgers. Facebook

Points of note:
* Serious Gyro issues
* Major Jittering in almost all games, which made Jeff damn near puke (Along with countless others) which included controllers and headset
* Move controllers losing tracking for no reason
* Just holding the DS4 causing major drifting
* Low resolution
* Rumors of Quality control issues during the manufacturing process causing all these issues which could lead to a major recall
* Camera was never built for this purpose, yet Sony tried to engineer it this way anyway which results in (sometimes) a horrible experience depending on positioning.
Points of note:

yeah I watched the entire giantbomb stream live this morning (started at 6am!) while grinding iron banner in destiny and man it definitely had some issues. shaking on screen UI, losing the headset when not in a perfect spot, latency, etc. They didn't show Battlefront (Star Wars) or Driveclub but none of the games they showed looked like something I'd play for more than 30 minutes. I got really interested in that monolith space game, but it turned into some shitty bug shooter corridor game.

Haha, normally I would just buy the XIM or the other thing (I can't remember the name) but I got ran over on my scooter and I'm not getting paid for a bit. Gotta be ultra thrifty until the dollars start flowing in.
