Oh, an interview with Titanfall's devs on the "Cloud":http://kotaku.com/whats-so-great-abo...-dev-563160896

So, the PC version will also use the magic Cloud for Dedicated Servers. So, PC version it is. Superior in every way.
Ok maybe now that you brought this up someone can answer my previous question. If Microsoft is providing Azure for dedicated game servers on Xbox live, then won't every online game have dedicated servers? That to me seems like a huge bonus for Xbox.

I'm guessing that the developer has to pay for them. The chance of those being freely provided by Microsoft = dick all, so it's not guaranteed that every game will have it. It's also clearly not an Xbone specificfeatureas Titanfall uses them for both the X360 and PC version as well, which makes it much less of a Xbone perk. Theoretically a developer could also rent out their Azure servers for a PS4 version of a game too.

I think their whole "30,000 magic xbox cloud servers" shit was just smoke and mirrors bullshittery for saying that they beefed their Azure capacity way the fuck up, which is for far more than just Gaming.

This was my thought given how little chatter there has been about it. I intend to skip Xbox this generation, but if every game has dedicated servers I definitely wont.

Clearly you weren't following the conversation either.

The context was that it is silly (and stupid) to buy an Xbone *just* for Titanfall on the bad and misguided assumption that it will have a more active and bigger player base for Titanfall than the PC version will, even in Australia where there's (apparently) not a massive PC community.
Except you didn't see where he said he isn't going to buy a PC good enough for Titanfall. Therefore if that is the one game he wants to play .....

Uh, I'm pretty sure DMK never said that. His only concern, that I remember, was that it wouldn't have a sustainable PC community due to him being in lolAustralia.

Ok just to clarify.. My whole point, to which Sean rationally discussed and gave some great points too, was the fact that the PC community in Australia isn't that big. Especially a few months after launch. I wasn't sitting here saying "I'm buying an xbone because I like titanfall" I was simply voicing my frustration that the only thing holding me back from getting a PS4 at this very second was Titanfall.

Now don't get me wrong there still is a decent sized PC community in Aus Just no where near as big as the Xbox live is at the moment. Also every one of my friends had no idea about this DRM always online shit storm Microsoft just had. My mates aren't 'gamers' they are the guys that get your NBA 2k/FIFA/COD and thats it. Hence the assumption that a lot of non-core gamers wouldn't know about the bullshit Microsoft tried to pull either therefore a good chance Xbox live still may be bigger in Australia next-gen. In saying that after looking more into it I believe the PS4 will be bigger in Aus then the Xbone this time around. (when it comes to the online community)

But Sean and UT are correct the PS4 far outweighs the Xbone in value and I've always agreed. It was simply something I was throwing out there for discussion to help my decision. At the moment I will be buying the PS 4 and getting Titanfall on PC. Plus getting a 3rd part controller shaped like a Xbox one so I don't have to use those awful PS controllers.

Frankly I'll be surprised if there's any market that has a higher density of xbones than ps4. Unless you count microsoft game lounges!

Isn't that Xbox controller the compact japanese version, not the giganormous original version? EDIT: never mind, it's the Xbox One controller.

I'm thinking the Xbox One controller is possibly smaller than the 360 pad and it's making the PS4 look larger. I'm hoping, though, that the PS4 pad is larger than the PS3.

The only thing I dislike about the PS Controller, other than it is small (PS3) is they need to switch the positioning of the Left Analog to the D-Pad similar to the Xbox Controller. It feels more natural on the Xbox Controller because of that.

Friend at E3 that used both, prefers the 360 controller current gen, ranks them PS4 > 360 > One. Said your could feel the edges more or something on the One controller, just didn't fit in your hand as well and was kinda hard to explain.
