Those two cents add up over the life cycle of the console from the manufacturers point of view. No saving is trivial.

Which they lose if only a couple of people decide not to buy it because the perceived quality of the unit is lessened.

Plus they could have just moved the middle foot out to the end, the thing couldn't be heavy enough to need support at the center.

It's not a wobble, though. It's just a stupidly-placed foot that leaves too much room on one side. It only pushes down on one side which you really have no point in pushing down on during any normal use of the machine. It doesn't wobble back and forth, so the drive spinning or even someone nudging the table/stand it's on won't make it move. This is such a non-issue.

Which side of the SWAYSTATION does the 10,000+ RPM drive reside? I hope they put disclaimers on discs the way Nintendo did with motion controllers, this has lawsuits waiting to happen all over it.
