It's because we have Black Friday all year long on the internet. I've yet to see anything amazing.


I was going to buy the Vita, but then I was like I am never going to use this thing, and it will go in the drawer with the rest of the handhelds.

Pretty much All I bought was two psn cards for 30 bucks.

You can't go online with that hack at all or you'll be banned, so really unless you want to keep updating back and forth to beat the shitty single player campaigns that are out right now I don't see why you would run the risk.

I guess you could do it and if you get banned sell the console for like $1000 on craigslist to some soccer dad.

It is the same for the PS3 and 360 as well. So I don't see you having an actual point.

I bet the hackers even get PS3 games working on it before Sony does.

Only things i ever get on b-friday are TVs and PC parts, but only things that tempted me were SSD's. Maybe i will have something in mind come cyber monday.

The value you lose by jailbreaking seems greater than the value you gain by getting access to free games when you consider that one has only so much time. I can see the appeal to have a second console and jailbreak it to have a "free sample" device though.

I didn't really have a point, just was verbally weighing the risk of such an act. If hackers could make it backwards compatible that would be sweet, but is there any PC emulation of PS3 yet?

That is a debate for the ages but no different than all the other last gen consoles.

The PS3 also has workarounds for PSN that might eventually be coded for PS4 if this continues to work.

It is step 1 in a lengthy battle.

Flashing a firmware takes like a minute or two though.

FYI, I asked about the Astro A50's connecting to PS4. I looked it up and you don't need to connect it to the controller. The mixamp that comes with it plugs into the USB in the front of the PS4 and the headphones connect wirelessly to that. Pretty fucking sweet if you ask me. Has the digital out passthrough so it doesn't disturb your setup at all once they're on.
