We thinking this will be good for any of the games? or just ones that can handle a bit of lag? Sounds like a bad ass cheap option to have "multiple" PS4's around the house.

it would be worth it just to use the free Vita games from PS+, streaming to other rooms is pretty sweet as well.

Does it have access to all the PS4 apps like netflix and stuff?
It sounds like apps are TBD. One real problem is the output quality of it. The max is 1080i and some lower quality audio. Doesn't matter for vita but will suck for ps4 and media streaming, though cheaper than a 2nd ps4.

Crap, the resolution is the deal breaker for me.

Was looking forward to not having to move my PS4 around anymore.

It's the same idea as Steam In-home Streaming. If it works as good as Steam does(at least over my wired network), it will be exactly like you're playing it on the actual PS4.

EDIT: Just was the reduced resolution/audio. That kind of blows for streaming PS4 stuff.

Sucks I don't see the vita uncharted game on that list. I have it from psplus and was hoping to play it on the tv. Will still be awesome to play fft: war of the lions and ff4 complete though! Hope the psp/vita games don't look like shit on a big screen.
I believe anything that uses the backplate or touch controls are excluded is why Uncharted is missing. The DS4 has the touchpad, but I believe the PS TV is designed to be used with the DS3 as the lowest common denominator.

So I have had a Xbox One since launch and recently picked up a PS4 primarily for Destiny. A few things I can comment on both.

1. The controller of the PS4 blows. It is small, uncomfortable, and my hands (especially thumbs) are sore afterwards. The Xbox One controller blows it out of the water in terms of comfort and battery life.
2. The user interface is downright terrible on the PS4. It is not intuitive in the least and this is something Sony needs to grasp fast. Much like the controller, the Xbone is undeniably better and more intuitive. The Xbox 360 however wins against both however.
3. Features: Xbone is vastly superior. DLNA, usable apps, near monthly updates, video input for game + TV watching (use it religiously).
4. Accessories: Kinect is dumb, Sony did it right initially by having a lower price due to not throwing in useless garbage. PS4 has more accessories to buy in general.
5. Potential: PS4 outright has more potential. More powerful, more popular which will influence game development. Once they start catching up to the Xbone in features and interface (making it intuitive), the Xbone will not stand a chance in hell...

Just late observations and criticisms...

Having recently bought a X360 controller to use on PC games, I have no idea why people are enjoying that thing as much as they do. Maybe the wired ones are cheaper than the wireless versions, but the plastic they use for the buttons and the one they use for the sticks make it feel flimsy.

1. The controller thing has almost always been that people prefer what they are most used to. I always used Sony controllers for consoles, so I prefer the ds4 to bone controller. If you went th MS route with Xbox you probably like that controller better.

2. The only thing they need to do is allow you to make folders and place them where you want. I'm not sure what you think is so unintuitive about it.

3. Video in and DLNA are really the only things that makes sense in your list. If you use it I'm sure it's great. I personally can't think of a time I actually would beyond the initial checkout. For DLNA, Sony is going to put it in eventually. I agree it's stupid that they didn't, but I'm willing to bet its a feature that only a small portion of people actually use.

4. I agree, both cameras are pretty useless. The only thing marginally useful is the voice commands, which could be achieved with a $5 mic.

5. Really the power differences are marginal, the problem is MS is so far behind from their initial PR disaster that it kinda snowballs. People, for the most part, want a system where most of the people are playing. It's a snowball effect.

When did xbone get DLNA? It was on their "to be added" list they gave a month orttwo ago (after PS4 stated it was coming for audio by the end of the year, and otherwise shortly after) they got it in already?

It was in one of the more recent preview releases, not sure if it made it into the last full update or what.

The xbone has always had DLNA so long as you pushed the media from your home PC to the Xbone. In the upcoming October firmware they are implementing "full" DLNA to allow users to push/pull media from wherever on their network.

The unintuitive-ness comes down to how the menus and navigation goes. It is a total piece of shit on the PS4 to do anything. You have to go through several menus/screens to do the most basic functions.

Not really. It is two button presses to start a game. I guess it is hard if you don't understand a system that prioritizes the application in the order of the most to least recently used. Then again, if you don't understand that you are retarded.

Indeed, I launch anything I want to with the PS4 in about 10 sec at the most, and much quicker for stuff I've got on "priority" from using recently (inserted disc/recently played digital/recent apps/etc) - Scroll right until you find it is terribly difficult, just like it's such a pain in the ass to find icons on my desktop - the horror.

I've barely touched the One UI (friend's that I used he pretty much had the game set up already) but XBox UI was no picnic with menu after menu for many simple things.

I have to agree with Lost Virtue on the PS4's UI. It's my only complaint regarding the system. Navigating applications is awesome and fast, but the social functions are absolutely terrible and feel like something designed in the pre-Facebook era.

Totally disagree with the controller assessment. I'm 6'0 with average hands for a man of that size, and the controller couldn't feel more perfect. Top triggers are a bit too sensitive for my liking, though.

The world seems to disagree with you on this, but it's just an opinion. Well, except the size. The PS4 controller is larger than XBO's.
