Why does SE think they can charge so much for their mobile releases? Their prices are fucking absurd.
Basically, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends will be for the PS3.
Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition (which is Dynasty Warriors 8 + Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends) will be for both PS4 and PS Vita. The reason behind Complete Edition is because previously Dynasty Warriors 8 wasn't on those platforms so we would like the players to enjoy Dynasty Warriors 8 as well.
They both are coming in Spring 2014.
1) It's a port of an ancient SNES game and sure as fuck is not worth $16, let alone $60. Learn context dude. Their garbage other games are not worth $20 either. These aren't some high quality shit.Someone has to push the price up. We all scream bloody murder, but why should mobile games be pennies compared to console games everyone is ok with being $60? Because we are used to that price, but not used to it on mobile games?
Also, the rage over always connected consoles is just weird to me. Who cares if it has to be connected? Or connected at least once a month or week? Because so many of us take our consoles out into the middle of no where without any internet connection and are damn pissed we can't play?
People just hate change, and companies know this but in both examples someone has to take the heat and be the first. Eventually always connected will be the normal. Eventually, as mobile games get even more popular the higher price will just be the normal and we won't care.
If I had the ability to reward you with a +1, I would indeed provide said reward.Nintendo isn't competing with Microsoft or Sony. They make their hardware based on the type of games they want to make and technologies they want to explore, not games that fit the hardware. It's very much like how Apple does things. It would be insane for Nintendo to get into a hardware arms race with the likes of Sony and MS - their consoles must be profitable because they are solely a gaming company. Sony and MS game divisions have had the leeway to fuck up because they are huge multi-national conglomerates. Let Nintendo do their own thing, it's better for the industry to not have 3 companies all with identical hardware and games.
In the future, you'll be glad that Nintendo has continued to make gaming consoles and not bloated multimedia centers like the XB1 and partly the PS4. Once they finally push everything Digital and to the "Cloud", offline gaming will be dead - Microsoft already tried to do it with tons of backlash. That means people with bad or no internet will be totally screwed.
I don't think anyone would say that they need to be $2.99, but Square's made $20-30 mobile games that shouldn't have been more than $10. Higher prices than $2.99 are fine for certain games and PSN/XBL/Steam have had great success with $10-15 titles. Square's overcharged for stuff pretty badly.I'm just saying that it's all going that way and as more game devs start seeing the revenue in the mobile space it's only going to increase. Most games aren't nearly as in depth, and don't deserve the higher price tag, but not every single game needs to be $2.99 max either.
As for always online, I think the lies over why it had to be online were worse than actually requiring it to be online. Diablo 3 is fine for me always online. I can easily still play the game solo, so I still don't see why always online is a problem.
You sure as fuck can't play diablo 3 when the servers are down for maintenance or just crash.I'm just saying that it's all going that way and as more game devs start seeing the revenue in the mobile space it's only going to increase. Considering how popular D2's mutliplayer was, I'd say you're an outlier.I never even considered playing Diablo II online, nor did a hell of a lot of other people to whom it was just a single player game. Hell, internet was still so shitty in a lot of the US that it wasn't even really worth trying to play online games. That wasn't my problem though, I had a cable modem since '96 and just didn't see the point of MP in a game like Diablo. Still don't, to be quite honest.
WTF IS THIS! I wanted to attach the FFFFUUUU.jpg, but work won't let me. Seriously. Screw them for this Blasphemy.Speaking of mobiles, look at this shit:Oh No, Square Enix, What Have You Done To Final Fantasy VI?
Fuck, that. FUCK THAT SO FUCKING MUCH.
An objective bar. Sprites raped. And worst of all, this horrible offense:
