Amazon already makes games, albeit on the more casual end of the spectrum. Yeah it is kind of crazy but Amazon literally does everything these days.

It's been rumored off and on that they're developing a console. Hoping it isn't an Ouya-class device, but anything more than that is such a bigger risk and investment.

Primebox (not a real name) was already a confirmed plan circulating I thought? Taking it one step further and making it a full fledged console doesn't seem a stretch if they get some developers on board though.

I'd be shocked, given their investment in their app store, that it would be anything but that.

What constitutes a "real reason" is very dependent on each individual situation.

At this point there may be no "must have" exclusive, but both machines have reasonably solid exclusives and the best console versions of trans-generational games. Providing you don't have super specific tastes and are not gaming 5 hours a day, they offer plenty to keep you occupied until the next wave of trans-generational titles that themselves should keep you occupied until the first wave of "must have" exclusive.



EDIT: Personally, I have a backlog on PS3 that takes priority over the likes of Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Considering the quality of the PS3's catalog and the fact many bought it pretty late, I suspect many people are in my situation.

Why would anybody buy an Xboner? Gross.

Resogun is the best PS4 game out there right now f'sho. Outlast is too scary so I don't count it as part of the library. I'm on the fence about Don't Starve because it seemed like it was fun at the time but I got the sense that I was wasting my life away while I played it, so it's a wash.

I think Don't Starve would be an incredible game if it was multiplayer.. but as single player I get bored rather quickly.

I've really not paid attention to my PS+ since i dont turn on either system anymore at this point, but to clarify, once your PS+ sub ends your games are disabled? are they automatically deleted or just disabled?

If your subscription lapses, there are some games that you may actually lose access too, at least according to some forum posts... if you don't already have them downloaded that is.

I'll have you know I have not commited A rape, let alone many rapes to necessitate the title 'serial'.

Also just play all the games out now on PC and wait til a console unique title worth playing comes out~
