Actually now that you mention that, I bet that's its longterm intent once the full game is out or just about to be - rake in some bucks on the "demo" now, then give it to PS+ folks right before the full title comes out to wet the appetite for it.

Seems the best of both worlds with how to monetize the hell out of it.

Would fit with how it's like a "early access beta" type thing right now.

I just wish some goddamn games were out. Haven't touched my PS4 for more than a few minutes since BF4 came out at launch and I beat Killzone. And most recently I've just been using it as a Netflix box. I knew the release was going to be slow, but this is agonizing.

Apparently xboners are scarce up in Canaydia, I haven't seen any, anywhere at all in awhile

It's still very close in the US.

The latest US numbers available (up to February 1st) indicate a 52/48 lead for the PS4 in total units sold, but a 58/42 lead for the PS4 during the last week. It will be interesting to see how things evolve once the pilling up for the japanese launch is done.

Europe is a 70/30 bloodbath though (with recent sales being even more lopsided at 77/23!).

I expect Xbone sales to skyrocket next month when Titanfall comes out
From preorder numbers at the local Gamestop's here it doesn't look like it... Hell, the beta is supposed to be out any day now, so if its going to be moving units quite a few should be moving already.

I'm sure the CODBros are going to get it, but it doesn't look like it will get much more market penetration from how it's looking around Baltimore.

Actually pre-orders are tracked now, so while it is difficult to say how much of an impact they will have on console sales, it gives some comparison possibilities:

Titanfall on Xbox One is currently the most pre-ordered title in the US (230k), but it's released at about the same time as inFamous: 2nd Son which is also massively pre-ordered (196k). Destiny and Watchdog are also well pre-ordered, with both title being favored in their PS4 version. Thief is ahead on Xbox One, but the pre-order numbers are significantly lower.

I really do believe that MS got caught with there pants around there ankles, when Sony announced PS4, and they are trying desperately to keep what advantage they have now.

I'm not sure which is a bigger turn-off for me on titanfall. The PC version requiring origin, or the Console version being xbox exclusive. Either way, FUCK EA, and I hope the game bombs, even though it won't, because the trailers seem custom made to appeal to CoDbros

Just because of EA I refuse to buy the game instantly. Just say no to Simcity.
Yeah EA has done some serious bullshit in the last several years. I usually wait on their products to see if they include 600 hoops I need to jump through before being able to play, also have to make sure there aren't frequent crashes, unplayable game, etc. Usually you have to wait 6 months to 1 year to receive a playable product from them, if that.

same, I cancelled my amazon TF preorder a few weeks ago due to all the BF4 bullshit. I'll pick it up for PC when its on sale and if the reviews are good. I'm sure it'll be fun, but end of the day honestly the difference between playing BF4 and Titanfall is very, very small to me personally. I woulda been more inclined to pick it up for PS4, pretty dumb of them to make it xbone exclusive.

I'm sure they're imagining an adapter subscription fee $6.99/month to listen to your own xbox via headset.
