Might need to rewatch mandalorian but iirc it made jango mandalorian for the canon, but as a test tube baby it made boba fett a joke. None of the mandalorians respect him at all, to them hes just another clone trooper. They go out of their way to mock him and his voice since hes a clone.

Mando gives him his fathers armor back out of respect for his father. I need to rewatch those episodes but pretty sure boba even says that he isn't a mandalorian.

I’ve enjoyed BoBF for the most part, but I just rewatched the first few episodes of Mandalorian. They are leagues apart. Galaxies even.

I don’t understand how the quality of literally every aspect is so different

Oh and rewatched those scenes in mando season 2, boba definitely not a mandalorian and he states as much several times in ep 6-8. somewhat hazy on whether Jango is. Mando assumes he was a foundling, all boba says is jango was gifted the armor from the mandalorians for helping them in the mandalorian civil war..

Hell, any of the OT or Clone Wars bounty hunters. Especially Cad since he and Boba have a... colorful past. He showed up in Bad Batch so he at least made it to the end of the prequel trilogy and then some.

Still uncanny valley, but very very minimal at this point. They're really getting good at this. I think another 7 years is all we need to basically put *anyone* in film doing *anything*... it's remarkable. They also can use this stuff for essentially crafting any type of narrative a director/creator wishes. Very cool... the future is looking good.

Still a bit off when you see the mouth move (which they minimized using camera angles and perspective) but damn that looked sharp.

Cad Bane already showed up in the Bad Batch with Fennec Shand so that was a good call. Question is if he's still just a bounty hunter or if he retired sometime after the clone wars. If he's settled into the syndicate for some years he would very highly placed by now.

Also curious if they flesh out a history between him and Boba some more, since Jango Fett was Cad Bane's mentor and later Cad Bane returned the favor and trained Boba. We already saw a couple flashbacks of Boba's childhood on Kamino in this season. If they meet there could be some reminiscing.
