But like....as we've seen on Reddit, isn't that exactly the case? The people who "liked Homelander" in the show are Trumpy and the same people mad about him being "the bad guy" are also Trumpy?
I mean, I don't care either way, shows great. Everyone is the bad guy except maybe Hughie I guess...and Starlight I guess.

People were annoyed they turned what should be an entertaining TV show into a hackey political statement and are annoyed as shit that they're once again being called evil white supremacists by someone who thinks they're so fucking clever.
Obviously you're anti-Trump so you don't care about any of that. Like when you parachuted into politics and declared that Ron DeSantis was rooting on people protesting outside Michigan Gov's house then disappeared when multiple people asked for a source.

And I'm not anti-trump or pro-trump, literally every politician is garbage and I dislike pretty much all of them pretty evenly. Each is out for their own agenda.
Just because I ask a question that's a counterpoint to something being made doesn't mean I'm doing anything other than asking a question for either, my own understanding, or just fostering discussion. I don't get why you get so shitty, so quickly. All I did was literally ask a question and was referencing another post about what was going on, on Reddit. I thought it was an interesting observation, if it was an invalid one, that's fine too. I'm okay being mistaken on the point. The opposite really, because I enjoy hearing others perspectives too in regards to those things.
At the end of the day, the shows good (this season at least). I don't look too deeply into it beyond that point for the most part other than talking about theories here and there.

I think most people complaining haven't read the comics. Homelander is still the same ego in the comics way before trump.

Again, nobody is complaining about Homelander being evil or having an ego.
It's the tv show hamfisting it's way into saying "LOOK! It's just like Trump! And these evil white males that support him are just like Trump supporters!!"
Shit that really doesn't need to be there except for the showrunners wanting to score political points even if it hurts their show

Agreed. They've done a great job keeping him true to the comic version. Honestly, any changes they've made to the source material haven't been bad. If I had to pick one difference that I coulda did without it would have been the change to Lamplighter I guess.
