Starlight risked her life to get Kimiko permanent Compound V, but will break up with Hughie for using the temporary version.

But let's be honest, the show is Butcher and Homelander (and maaaaybe Hughie). Everyone else has no long term arcs, its just whatever the writing crew came up with to justify them on the show this season. Kimiko, Frenchie, Maeve, Black Noir, The Deep, and arguably MM and Starlight could have disappeared in between seasons and the only thing that would really change is they _might_ have had to move where Soldier Boy was kept and had someone leak Homelander being a dick.

Kimiko had power and lost it and wants it back. Hughie just plain wanted it. Its that simple.

There is a common theme of wanting power to protect others, and I'm sure that will be blown up to 1000% when Marvin eventually takes V.

Its not black and white like that, Hughie has obviously changed who he is and turning into butcher where kimiko is still the same person. Kimiko wants it to protect or defend while Hughie wants it to kill/fight intentionally

it's not even about the superpowers, though that's what it feels like on the surface. the difference is that hughie was being dishonest about taking tempV, as well as acknowledging that it is most likely deadly and not caring. AS WELL as not only teaming up with a murdering a-hole supe, but setting him free in the first place. with kimiko, she didn't ask for any of the situation she's in. she was being used by all the people around her, except frenchie, and asked starlight to help her get back into a position where she can protect the people she cares about.

which is made even more explicit by the difference in who they are when hughie gets powers and when kimiko loses hers. hughie confronts a-train and gets what he's always wanted, a heartfelt apology, but it's not enough and he resorts to violence just because he can. whereas kimiko risks her life in a very real way fighting off thugs who are torturing frenchie

That's the thing, this show should start GoT main characters, hopefully the don't try doing it in one season, the only deaths have been throw away character

Finally watched Ep7.

Anyone else notice the second dose of Compound V in the nightstand by French during the Kimiko scene? Starlight had to grab a second dose for a reason. Maybe she is planning to dose Hughie to prevent him from being killed by the V24.

If SB and HL are teaming up it’s going to be a bad time. I think Butcher probably knows enough to try intentionally triggering SBs PTSD blast to perhaps still kill HL.

Noir and Edgar teaming up with Butcher is one of the only options. There is a lot more shit foreshadowed that hasn't been picked up on. I really have no clue on kripke or Amazon's plans. I think ideal would now have to be 5 seasons 6 season to do a good ending.

Knowing how every character has been I think Maeve is the only character that I don't want killed. Her happyness seeing Homelander bruised was great, she's turned to all means necessary like butcher but never knew soldier boy was another homelander

Maeve has gone though everthing and is over it

It's been a great season so far but there is only 1 episode left god dammit and then another year+ wait 😡.

That aside, numbers coming out that this was barely behind Kenobi as far as vewiers which is awesome

You bring up a good point. I didn’t mean to imply that *I* thought it was logically consistent, but I absolutely believe a woman would find Starlight’s behavior to be totally understandable and obvious.
