They already have a free car service. There is literally no excuse for DUI in the NFL particularly with the 49ers.
Its not free anymore, its not offered by the league anymore but through the NFLPA and throughsometeams. I think the Niners were not one of those teams. I'm having a hard time finding info on it though. Not that there's any excuse, but really if you're going to pay a service you might as well be getting a cab. Which they should be doing anyway, dumbass probably just wasted a grand or more at some club, might as well pay for a cab. I guess they do it for all the same reasons any normal person would though, but at least normal people aren't getting huge NFL paychecks when they cheap out on taking a cab.

Okay yeah its not free but the car service is still there I think. They have a partnership with Uber or something.

I like that we're discussing the cost of a car service as if that's the reason they don't use it. The NFLminimumis almost a half million a year. I'm sure the $30 for a cab ride is really the deciding factor.

Don't worry guys, it wasn't a DUI! Aldon Smith said so, and I totally believe him.

Yeah the whole thing is nuts. Maybe Smith will end up a cautionary tale for other players.

Trotter was on it -> RT @JimTrotter_NFL: FILED TO ESPN: 49ers to release Aldon Smith.

#49ers: "This organization has tried very hard to help Aldon fight his issues. He is no longer (on) team, our support for him will continue"

I figured that happened as soon as Harbaugh left that train wreck of an organization.

I also have to say I am getting kind of excited to what this Gordon kid is going to do for the Chargers. I hope he's the next beast mode.

He's definitely got the hype. I would have liked him but of course he wasn't falling that far.

Well I didn't really want a RB for a first round pick and was disappointed when they did that. If they were going to use it on a first though I am glad it is for Gordon. I hope he is the next great thing.

We needed someone to be a RB for the future so I would have been cool with it, not trading up though. Not surprised we ended up going with a mid rounder instead, that's a more value way to fill the position.

Gordon is more like Jamaal Charles than Marshawn Lynch. Which is still top 5 talent though.

I am totally fine with that too. I was mostly just speaking about the caliber of player than any particular style.
