Ngata to Detroit. We just had no cap room with all of Rice's dead money and Ngata's contract being in its late years and him being unwilling to work on it now or previously. He's getting old now anyway, but kind of a shitty situation nonetheless. Wondering what sort of draft pick this might get us.
I feel like Ngata played through a lot the last couple years that hurt his longevity quite a bit. Lions had to get someone to at least make up a little bit for losing Suh. Comp picks are a great thing when you have Ozzie finding mid-low round gems to plug in the holes.

Edit: Didn't see they traded him, my bad

Filed to ESPN: Rams close to trading QB Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for Nick Foles and draft-pick compensation, per sources.

I can't believe the Saints gave Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks. That is just nuts

Graham is big yeah, but they get a pick and (presumably?) an upgrade at center which can be important if they were struggling there.

Bradford for Foles AND a draft pick seems in-fucking-sane. Is Chip Kelly fucking retarded, trolling, or deliberately tanking this team? Rams fans must be rejoicing to unload that shit finally. Was Foles really that bad? Other than getting hurt, anytime I watched him he seemed pretty competent at running the offense and his throws weren't bad. Then again maybe I have a different standard for elite starting QB's.

NFL already talking about sanctioning Miami for potentially talking to Suh before the tampering period. RIP draft picks/season.

Another expensive offensive player for Seattle. It seems like they are going away from what got them to two superbowls and trying to build the team around Wilson. Sort of like what the 49ers failed at last season.

Sounds like the 49ers aren't going to be able to get Cox or Culliver back, so there continues to be even more turnover on defense. I knew it was a longshot to sign both of them, but was hopeful they could at least hang onto one of them to keep some semblance of continuity.

Fuck it, burn it all down Jed!

Bradford's cap hit for this year was going to be over $16.5, but its the last year of the deal I guess? I know Philly has some room to spend, but what are they going to do, extend him into a new contract I'd assume? Is the idea to let him compete with Sanchez to start, are they really drafting Mariota and that's the QB roster for camp? This whole Eagles offseason is bonkers.

Seems like Chip is getting everyone's garbage and selling out anything decent he has to amass picks. I'm sure he'll then package those picks to TB or Tennessee and grab Mariota. Very ballsy. It'd be awesome if it worked out. Be awesome if it also failed miserably.

Sounds like we may have gotten 8th overall pick in the deal. That would redeem chip for me.
