I use cluster seeker mines and hive to revive personally. Mines are a great opener, as well as pointing out where NPCs are, and hive can save the day.

Specialization is really up to you, they all seem to be pretty good. YMMV.

I have been pretty stoked about cosmetics, I had one dye for my gear and had no idea where I got it, so I looked into it.

Look for orange crates hanging from orange parachutes or cranes, here are at least 10 of them https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/mjY6kwUN8FdCYVpofmZSB5.jpg

There's way more than 10 boxes. :D
My own map I made since division2map.com wasn't updating fast enough few weeks ago, a couple can usually be the black resource boxes instead.
I have the hyena boxes marked too for chatterbox refarms.
The airdrops also drop 2 high ends every time so it's a good way to farm some gear if you're feeling lazy and don't want to run missions or something, they usual have a couple extra gear boxes in the nearby area too.

Try not to get hit ;)

Seriously though, I attack from range and almost never get rushed to the point that they make it to me. Running Sharpshooter with the backpack mod that helps you to not consume ammo repair packs.

Unfortunately they can be purples, and it's always just 1 gear (weapon from bright green gun cases) and 1 mod. Definitely a good idea to look around for other boxes nearby though, that's where most of the good stuff ends up coming from.

How do you run without any heal?

I currently run with safeguard (backpack i think), clutch (gloves), and patience (kneepads) which heals me up to full in cover or after a kill within a few seconds. Its not the greatest offensive wise but it also means I don't need a heal skill. For a while I was running with berserk (get to low armor to max damage) but recently changed it out to unstoppable force on chest, it might be slightly less damage but I don't have to fuck around with trying to get low on armor to max damage.

Getting drops with the talents you want combined with secondary talents that are good (+DTE or +crit chance) is really tough though, usually I have one talent I like and the rest of the item is semi garbage. You can reroll one thing with the recalib station but then everything else is locked down forever.

They did nerf safeguard to have an internal CD and not sure if they nerfed patience or not, but right now they both still work pretty well especially right after you get a kill and get in cover you heal like a mofo. The only times I really die are when a ton of enemies come close and i can't get away ("retard rolling right into a shelf"), and I don't think anything would really save me in that case. It also lets you play with stuff, like the drone that "eats" bullets for you is kinda interesting in that it lets you do full "no cover" attacks for short periods without any bloom issues.

Thats what I wonder about the raid, will it setup situations where your team needs to split up and kill stuff fast enough solo/duo or will it be a lot of people rushing you so you need ways to counter that or what.

Problem with Unstoppable Force is that you can't refresh the buff, and uptime likely ends up being somewhere in the 50-75% range at best. You kill some dude, you get ~7 seconds of buff, but then you have to wait for it to end and kill someone else without the buff to start over again. UF is fine for LMGs because it's the only choice you really have (especially since you should also have things like Unhinged, Compensated, On the Ropes, etc. and UF is just one medium-size part of the LMG build equation), but Berserk is king for AR/SMG.

Same thing happens with Chatterbox too, if you kill - reload - kill - reload and the second reload is too soon you don't get the buff back. The fact that the buff gets applied at the start of the reload makes it more annoying to manage (and rather pointless for belt-fed LMGs).

Does anyone else farm or get excited over cosmetic things? For the invasion sets I’m two pieces away from finishing all three. That’s kinda cool I think cause I get another mask when it happens.

I love cosmetic stuff, I keep changing my appearance every few days. I go to the "tailor" thing to redo my appearance once in a while too. :)

It's fairly well done in the game too. You can find a bunch of cosmetic items all over the place, and get a decent amount of Apparel Keys while playing.

So apparently this week there's no blueprint project at all. I don't know how a game that seemed to have its shit together at release can fuck up practically everything in the first month.

Never mind that gating at least three of the best weapon mod BPs behind weekly RNG is retarded as hell to begin with.

At this point I figure if they add nothing else and the game bombs and I dont play it again ever.... I got my money out of it. And it seems to be headed that way

this is exactly what happened with Division 1, it took them apparently months to figure shit out and patch things right with a lot of fuckups along the way. I played it at launch, got the platinum trophy, traded it in, and never touched it again and have fond memories. Gonna be doing same thing with div 2 i guess, just wanna finish up all the side missions.

Vets probably already know this but apparently farming DZ is a great way to get apparel cache keys and just a plethora of 500GS gear as well (drops from mobs will be X-500 but the cache drops every time you get a "level" is 500 if you are 500). While both field prof caches (reg areas) and DZ caches both drop basically the same thing, it takes 1/3'd the XP for DZ caches so its much, much faster.

You wanna do it in groups though, while its soloable its a real pain in the ass and takes forever. Just matchmake into a group, hope you don't have retards, hop into a non conflict (no red knife on the map) DZ and just run like retards from hard/challenge spot to spot killing everything and looting and extracting if you need to, although honestly you could probably just deconstruct all the drops and just keep stuff from your DZ cache rewards. I matchmade into a group and farmed for 2 hours and got like 2 exotic LMGs and tons of caches and keys.

You can basically do the same thing just farming solo or group in missions/open world but the lower XP requirements of DZ per cache make it more efficient.

I just speed run hard missions. I can do challenging and heroic solo but they aren't even remotely worth the time investment. DZs might be even faster, but I haven't even bothered to unlock the South and West DZs anyway. Still stuck at 491 on the AR build and only at 1 of 6 pieces I need for my LMG build and even that's just the easiest to roll right (holster). Kind of losing patience in the game though, especially with the weekly project bullshit that happened today. If I could at least get the three weapon mods I want I could probably ignore the rest of the shitshow, but nope, they've ruined that too.

Where the hell do you open the dz cache when you level up? I didn't even know that was a thing.

There’s also no carrot in this game at the moment with how shitty the sets are. Guess I’m done until new content arrives and massive tuning happens to skills / weapons / talents on shit.
