Good critical thinker and you think that list of marketing speak that says absolutely nothing about the actual have is something to be excited over?

So how much money do you think you earn per post? I'm an air traffic controller, and on a really quiet overnight shift I've calculated it out to 5 dollars per airplane I talk to... (Sometimes more).

If you don't want to get into your specific salary, just tell me how much an "average" "viral marketing specialist" earns in a year, and I'll do the rest of the calculations based on your posts per day statistic.

Well, I'm 31 now, the last time I remember my reading comprehension being measured I was still in school... I was reading/testing well on college level books when I was 13. So maybe my reading comprehension has faded over the years, or maybe it's gotten better at spotting marketing speak being disguised as "honest player feedback". Real gamers don't speak like that, people in marketing being paid to deliver a message do.

Disingenuous at best. Actively and knowingly attempting to separate people from their hard waned money for an inferior product just so you can earn a paycheck at worst.

Personal Vendettas? I don't know anyone in the game industry, closest I've come was when I went to the Vanguard Fanfaire pre-release and met some of the sigil devs(and brad mcquaid), and was floored when none of them had played WoW even though it had even out for about 8-9 months at that point. I'm pretty much the dictionary definition of an "average gamer"... Only reason I post in this thread at all is so that you can report back to your higher ups some kind of same feedback about the lackluster feeling about this game and it's marketing guided community interaction, and maybe someone can fix it before it turns into full-blown disaster.

When more and more people get their hands on this, you will look back at my posts and realize I'm just trying to give people a heads up. This game is going to kick ass. Period. Hang in there; there might be an open beta and you can see for yourself. They have 8 months to polish. I know beneath your crusty, angsty exterior you're just a young man hoping for a fun game! All I've heard is it plays like Neverwinter.. only person I know who played it didn't like it...

How anyone can fucking vouch for how good a game is without playing it is beyond my comprehension. I have tons of friends who play MMO's and we are much like this board, we fucking argue about everything. The fact that Blackwulf agrees with fucking everything he reads and all his friends like every fucking thing screams bullshit.

8 months of polish... you know... because everything in the game is fully developed, implemented and tested.. now it's just 8 months of "polish" as they "tweak" and "refine"

Except we can point to specific facts and videos that show the other way. A tacked on FP mode with shit FOV, bad animations etc. That is way different then "omg my friends say it rocks!!!".

I am strongly against the console ports. I don't like that the latest build doesn't have a mini-map and that they've taken name tags off of other players (can be seen in the quakecon vid.) I fucking hate bethesda's PR and their lack of a community presence (other than stupid FB posts.) Turbine keeps a dev tracker and open discussion about all upcoming content - this is much better. If you want to talk to a bethesda/zenimax dev, you can forget it; they never post on their own official forums. I'm not a fan of 4 man groups. I don't like 4 man instanced dungeons. They still plan to have open dungeons, but I think that they all should have been. In my opinion they're trying to cater to some WOW fans with that one. Not a fan of tiered gear. I think lateral progression is smarter and more fun. At least that's still a possibilty.. could be the tiers will last a lot longer spread out laterally before introducing a new one.

I could probably brainstorm some more things I don't like, but the point is that the key, big features that outweigh the negatives for me are:

-almost limitless character customization with regard to different builds/skill loadouts
-ALL pvp done in Cyrodil. No battlegrounds, no arenas, no rvr 'lakes'
-RVR progression: skill lines tied to rvr
-entertaining combat
-well designed engine that can handle many players at once

Interesting idea, but wrong. I'm actually pretty hopeful that EQN will be a cool game in a year or 2. Right now all they talk about is OMG you can explode the ground! We'll see how it shapes up, but I think they are moving in the right direction. I'd love to be part of the founding of Halas for example. Cool plan.

Finally a normal sounding post. If you were a little more balanced maybe just maybe people might listen to positives you point out.

You can point out shit all day long but you cant make a call on it till you played by the logic you guys have dictated for Blackwulf. We have all played games that have look like shit but we enjoy. But you know I hate to fuck up the hate circle jerk around here so carry on.

I was cautiously optimistic for this game, but after visiting a friend who is in beta and playing it for a few hours I have to say this game is just completely awful.

I have zero interest in this game now.
