I am on 11 hours on my new NB and have only hit level 9. And that is with the increased XP gain at low levels...I levelled to 10 quite quickly in one of the beta weekends without doing a single quest past that prison breakout place, iirc.
Just ran around killing things.
Sorry man... I play on p99... 11 hours to 9 is 'pretty quick' to me I guess.I am on 11 hours on my new NB and have only hit level 9. And that is with the increased XP gain at low levels...
Huh? It definitely did not take me that long last beta weekend. Since I pretty much played 8 hours total and got to Lv12. And some of that time was spent just running around and exploring, trying crafting...etc...I am on 11 hours on my new NB and have only hit level 9. I echo Mkopec's post, except I've become pickier. I liked FF14, but not enough to buy it yet.I already said many times that I was getting this game. Like i said Im a whore when it comes to new mmorpgs. Last weekend beta I was expecting this joke of a game, because most people were so negative on it. But this was far from the truth. High production value, it ran great, looked great, what can I say, i was sold. Lots to see and explore...etc...
That being said, I do not like the quest based leveling, but this is pretty much the norm in mmos right now, its not this games problem, it is more of a genre problem. I thought the quests were well done in this game.
The combat? Well it definitely could be better, but it could be way worse. How the negative people speak about it is really over the top. They tried to keep it as close to being Elder Scrollish and I think they succeeded. It is far and away better than any stock Elder Scrolls game I have played. But thats not really saying much is it?
Even so, Its not that bad. It feels pretty responsive but people are dead on in saying it needs more impact, more weight behind it. Also animation could use some more work.
Skipping the newbie isle may have had something to do with my long leveling time. I started leveling in Auridon (Which was just rebalanced in the last patch) after the tutorial. I also played with woodworking to become familiar with the crafting system. Still 11 hours is kind of steep for level 9!Huh? It definitely did not take me that long last beta weekend. They were posted on reddit as well. My guess is that Zenimax isn't too worried about the NDA much anymore.EDIT : Nevermind, NDA lifted, I'm just an idiot.
Aye, I've only done weekend betas though.Has anyone played a templar?
I got one key last Nov. Was able to play in Jan. without a new one. They sent me a new one in Feb., but I didn't enter it and was still able to play in Feb. I think anyone whose account is flagged for beta access is good.So if you got a key for the last weekend beta, do you automatically get in this weeks? Or do you need another key?
Current trend: stack whatever resource your skills favor while leveling. At 50 respec all those points into HP. There should be like 20 posts about this like 5 pages back, LOL.Can anyone with any decent game experience go over a primer of what people are doing with different builds? What's op? What's fun? What are some of the trends you are seeing? I love different types of class systems and ESO, for all of it's warts, has a really cool class system and I'm curious what people are doing with it.
They were posted on Tamriel Foundry too but the thread got deleted, heh. They were posted on reddit as well. My guess is that Zenimax isn't too worried about the NDA much anymore.
I would like another beta as well. I'm probably going to pre-order but I want one more go around and would like to see if GMG comes out with another coupon better than 20%.I look forward to another beta weekend to see how things have changed. Has anyone played a templar?
This does nothing to answer my question though?Current trend: stack whatever resource your skills favor while leveling. At 50 respec all those points into HP. There should be like 20 posts about this like 5 pages back, LOL.
I'd be curious about this, too. I keep reading Templar + 2H + Resto seems to be really strong. Can anyone with any decent game experience go over a primer of what people are doing with different builds? What's op? What's fun?
