I asked my friend at work if the areas in the game change at all as he's leveling and progressing but he says he hasn't noticed any changes visually yet. Anyone else able to comment on the variety of atmospheric changes in the game as you level?
Ebonheart Pact here, first big zone is Stonefalls, it's a mess with dirt, sand, lava and an angry volcano. It's basically very darkish, both sadness and despair are around the corner. Some cities, keep and camp, but upon doing Stonefalls you'd feel like swallowing grey paint from the nose. You'd encounter some coasts and some decent landscape, but overall it's pretty bland (and grey).
Then you go to Deshaan, which is OMG NATURE EVERYWHERE !!! There is grass, trees, treehuggers (fucking elves) and some other nice stuff. It's cool and feels relaxing after fucking Stonefalls, there is a lot of Argonian stuff going around (inca / maya like temples). Crocodiles, water and wasps strongly forbid horse riding (crocs will dismount you 100% of the time, they have some weird fetish following people for miles, dismounting them and reset "lol j/k m8" like the cunts they definitely are).
After Deshaan it's fan service time ! Eastern Marsh, which is basically Skyrim's Windhelm and its surroundings. I'm not gonna spoil you, but you'll meet some of the Mall's cool kids you saw in Skyrim. It's Skyrim-ish as fuck landscape wise of course, snow snow everywhere, lakes, hills and snow. It's beautiful and pure, it's like Switzeland without bankers and IRS dodgers. I'm still in Eastern Marsh right now.
So it's basically : New Zealand > US Maine > Switzeland. Needless to say, Ebonheart Pact wise, landscape changes a lot. I don't know about other zones but there is good scenery around. Of course it's not 2009 Skyrim fully ENB modded, but it's kind of "okay", mostly because the game doesn't kill your computer performance wise. Peace out.
