10 miles in south Florida traffic to get some groceries is not worth it.
Heh, 10 miles in rural Missouri doesn't even get you toanygroceries.

Besides, that hotdog they have for a buck fitty is as good as mentioned. All beef and garlicy.

It used to take me 45 min to an hour to drive just 12 miles to my old job. It was the worst!

I might have to give Costco a go. There's one in the city. I'll have to grab a Zipcar and load up on some non-perishables.

Wasabi Doritos don't sound too shabby. I really like the Blue Diamond Wasabi & Soy Almonds.

Yeah their Kirkland brand stuff is some of the top rated shit, competing with name brand stuff in many different categories. I'm into Costco, now that we have a deep freeze I buy a ton of meat there as well.

I know the Kirkland vodka is made in the same region of France as Grey Goose. With essentially the same materials and with the same distillation process etc. Supposedly they just went out and hired the folks that make Grey Goose or something to that effect and opened their distillery in the same area. So it's Grey Goose quality at Absolut price.

They also get pretty high end scotch licensed from the big folks,Glenlivetetc, but apparently that shit sells out almost instantly. People find out what kind it will be the next time it comes around and get ready to stock up.

Sadly I believe all the Costco in Ohio don't sell liquor

You guys are making me want to join Costco. Unfortunately my closest one is 200 miles away. I would still probably have a membership if I had a bunch of kids or something.

Their return policy is great for consumers, and absolutely a nightmare for vendors. You can literally return an 8 year old computer for full price if you kept the original receipt. When I worked at costco in my teens I used to see people return half watermelons. They ate half, it was too much, so they returned the rest, and we took that shit back and gave them full price. The most egregious thing I saw though was a guy return an 18 year old watch. Somehow he kept the original receipt intact for all that time and got full price back for that fucking thing.
Yep, I saw one woman return a half eaten bag of potato chips. And another woman who returned a half empty container of Preen that she claimed she bought four years ago and her weeds kept coming back every year. She got store credit for that one with no receipt.

I'm pretty sure Kirkland vodka is grey goose just with a different label.

Same with their bourbon. It's woodford reserve or whatever just labeled Kirkland. Maybe not woodford, but the bottle design is exactly the same. I just can't think if what it is now.

They also have great prices on wine and baby formula is worth the price of membership alone if you have a baby.

Oh hell ya to baby formula! Their Kirkland brand 0-12 month formula is super cheap, and I heard made in the same exact plant/factory that pumps out the much more expensive name brand.

That's the case with most in house brands. That generic bread you buy is actually made by a Hostess bakery or other Brand name place. The big difference is Costco doesn't cheap on the ingredients or ratios like your local Kroger, Safeway Etc do.
