If we're opening a retro one though, I want them to bring back the Grande Soft Taco. It was like a Double Decker, except it was two soft tacos, and between the shells they slathered nacho cheese. Nacho cheese makes everything better.

You do realize you can add nacho cheese to a double decker (even between the shells if you want). I've asked and they said no problem.

not a chance. Wendy's is way overrated, but back in the early 2000s it was truly the singular bastion of quality fast food.

I've never had a bad Big Mac meal.

The Wendy's chicken sandwich(at least around here in Ft Lauderdale and Miami) is one of the best at any fast food place. I don't eat fast food that often, but when I do, it's almost always that sandwich. Never soggy breading or dry meat. I can't really speak for the other stuff on their menu.

I will admit that Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is heavenly, but beyond that it's a smorgasboard of shit.

Limp fried? they revamped their fries over 2 years ago and they are better than any other fast foods fries out there.

We had this derail in the old thread, but I'm sure folks have more to add...

I can't think of another franchise place where the quality from location to location varies nearly as wildly as Wendy's. I've got 2 of them within 5-10 minutes driving distance, one in the hood and one at a strip mall the other direction. They've actually gotten much better(I guess new managers who give a shit or something), but previously the ghetto one was just a waste of time. You wouldn't even think the two places made the same food. Ghetto Wendy's you'd think the fries were meant to be soggy and floppy like kudos dick. "Good" Wendy's they were straight and crisp and delicious, like my dick.

Basically the only thing I get, so you somewhat agree with me.

Although, I had a triple cheeseburger from there the other day and everything about it was just glorious. Maybe the Wendy's by you sucks, but the one by me is very, very fucking good, especially compared to McDonald's and BK.

Wendys can definitely vary wildly in quality. Stopped at a random Wendys in a small town in podunk MO once while on a roadtrip and got my usual Spicy Chicken Sandwhich, and the thing was flatter than their hamburger patties. There was almost no meat to it whatsoever. The Wendys by my work is awesome, their Spicy Chicken Sandwhiches are HUGE, and always scalding hot & fresh.

I've seen the same thing at McDonalds though. I have a McDonalds by my work that I hit occasionally for breakfast burritos, and they are great. Stopped at a McDonalds that was kind of in the hood while working at a different office a while back, and there was literally NO sausage in the burrito. It was about 1/3 as thick as the normal ones I get, the hood Mcdonalds was basically just a small amount of eggs + cheese in a tortilla. It blew.
