In fast food related news, I had an Oktoberfest burger at BGR The Burger Joint on Monday that was a nice, thick burger, sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard, and a brautwurst on a soft pretzel bun. Sooooooooooo good. Highly recommend if you have a BGR in the area.

They're so fucking good. Everyone I know who has tried them--even those who generally claim to dislike sugar cookies--get addicted to Lofthouse. About an hour after eating the above-mentioned burger I stopped by the grocery store and bought a wheel of Lofthouse Sugar Cookies and ate 10 of them for dessert. I had the other 8 for breakfast the next day, and I hated myself with every bite but I couldn't stop.

Its a really good burger joint yes sir, these are what the lines look like in NYC. Luckily in Miami they arent out of the door like that. There is on on US1 across the street from the UM Campus near Bird Rd and another at the beaches. Their custards are insane, they are different at every location too. The UM one has a tres leches with powdered cuban cookies.

I'm impressed you have tried tres leches /salute, you are an honorary DREAMER.

The lines are almost nonexistant in Miami, ofc if you go Friday at 6pm you might have to wait a bit. Their signs in the store showed locations in the NE US and down the east coast some so they are expanding it looks like.

My trip to Miami was great (free boobs at South Beach) and frightening (walking down skid row)

The way property works in south Florida is like this: beach front(super expensive), beach access(moderately expensive), 2 miles inland(crack town), 4 miles inland(suburbs and shit).

South Beach sucks.

Yeah, the epic is like right in downtown. Tons of awesome stuff around there, but on the outskirt of downtown are some terrible areas, like Overtown.

@Noodle did you eat Pollo Tropical? Our local fast food joint, the chicken is so good there.

Overtown is probably one of the deadliest ghettos in the US I would imagine. People tend to think Miami = SoBe but its so much more. There is also places inland which are some of the richest zip codes in the US like Coco Plum, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and ofc all of the islands surrounding our beaches. Key Biscayne where I grew up is also really close to South Beach and is a world apart.

Had Del Taco the other day for the first time and was really good, way better than Taco Bell and their sauces kicked ass.

Apparently Lofthouse makes their normal sugar cookies and also a chocolate variant. The chocolates taste somewhat brownie-like. Normally, I like chocolate, but I prefer the normal ones in this case. Maybe it was just the mood I was in or whatever, it is just a different texture.
