Be forewarned that some people view their fries as bland. What I view as a great fast food fry is crispy and actually has noticeable amount of potato. Throw some salt on them if you find them bland and they will be fine(or ketchup/sauce of your choice).

I don't like the texture of DQ's beef at all. Unfortunately it's a deal breaker. There is a fast food burger chain in Canada called Harvey's that has kickass toppings and you actually pick what and how much you want a la subway. Except they use the cheapest beef on the planet. It drives me nuts.

They are awesome. I have been known to get them instead of French Fries when I want to double the calories in my meal. I also enjoy the flame thrower burger and the mushroom and swiss.
BTW, if you haven't tried them, the chicken strips at Arby's are the best. Maybe it's just mine because they never have any pre-cooked, but every time I have ordered them I always wind up waiting 5 minutes but they come out super hot and crispy.

Anything fried at my Arby's also results in a 5 minute wait. I assumed it was just because my Arby's is shitty and slow, but maybe that's their standard operating procedure. Either way, it's nice to get super hot and crispy fried stuff instead of soggy and warm like shitty, awful Wendy's.

Here's the lowdown on DQ, there are generally 2 types.
The stand-alone DQ that serves a full food menu + ice cream. You are good to go here with hamburgers, onion rings etc. The flamethrower burger + onion rings is my meal of choice.
There are also mini-DQs that only serve ice cream + hot dogs. Don't get food at these, their food sucks as mentioned above. On the flip side though, those mini-DQs are often also combined with an Orange Julius, which is awesome as well.

All the new stores that have popped up lately in the DFW area are fucking fantastic, I'm guessing it's all under new management or something because it's like they actually care. I do not go for their burgers with Mooyah and Twisted Root nearby but you can't go wrong with the follwoing.
