My brother used to eat 3 pounds of beef per day when he was trying to become Ronnie Coleman Jr.

When I was into weight lifting I probably ate 1-2 pounds of chicken per day and 1 pound of steak per day.

We aren't little women though.

I'm sure it doesn't look that good, but I'm definitely giving it a shot first time it makes sense (maybe as part of the wife's birthday party food since it's a week after they introduce it on the 23rd).

Why the fuck do I want bacon on the crust. That sounds like a greasy pain in the ass to eat.

Render all the fat out and it's no longer greasy. Just crispy, tasty bac-o-crust!

You sound like someone who's never had plenty of other bacon infused items that sound impractical at first but surprisingly (the first few times) work - like a bacon bowl. (note: not that I can even make too much damage on a bacon bowl, but they work well and add a great smokiness to what I've had with one, it's too much bacon for me in a sitting though) Or "bacon wrapped" foods.

If it's cooked properly, bacon's rendered down and pretty much dry in most of those applications - especially in a case when you've got the bread of the pizza sitting there asking to sponge up all the grease. [You know, the same reason pizza isn't exceptionally greasy when it's largely just melted cheese - which would create a giant grease slick on a stovetop application in the same quantity without more finesse than "dump handfuls of shredded cheese on top of X thing that doesn't soak up grease"]

Looks delicious. Would eat.

On a somewhat related topic, I recently learned that there is a big difference between ordering "bacon" and "pre-cooked bacon" on pizzas. I never knew the latter was a thing.

I'd wager that the food props in those commercials taste better than the actual food. The quality of my local Little Caesar's is somewhere between cardboard and regurgitated baby bird food.

I used to feel that way for a very long time - had some that someone supplied for a party recently and really turned my opinion of them around. They're all franchises I think though, so good and bad ones likely exist.

Little Caesar's has the best product placement I've ever seen. If you watch King of the Nerds you know what I'm talking about. Nothing quite like having a dozen adults interrupt their cosplay preparation to have a Little Caesar's Pizza Party in the common room, and then rave about the food in the confessionals.

In other fast food news, when I went to Wendy's the other day it turned out that the heat in the restaurant was broken. It was so cold that the liquid in the soda fountain tubes by the cash register were frozen and I could see my breath while I was talking to the cashier. The cashier laughed at me when I told him I was getting my order "for here" instead of to go. Anyway, there was another guy sitting there eating his food, and he was eating a frostee like a boss. Hardcore.

Usually I don't like the placement stuff in shows but have to admit the king of the nerds one was pretty funny and effective.

If you're willing to make your own, I'm a fan of cinnamon bun pancakes - and have found that the Target (Archer Brands or whatever) boxed Cinnamon Bun pancake mix destroys any of the chains hands down. Used to be one of my favorite breakfast things (besides anything at First Watch at least - FW is the shiznit) to get out, but Target ruined it for me.
I was at Target recently and I remembered this post, so I picked up a box of this mix (Archer Farms Cinnamon Bun pancake mix). I'm going to be disappointed if they aren't as good as you say.

I don't know why I open this thread on a cut.

As a side-note, these burgers are fucking frozen yet quite tasty.

I'm not too proud to cook a frozen burger. The 1/3 lb Angus Burgers from Costco that come frozen in a pack of 15 or whatever, are goddamned tasty.

I even throw them on the grill still frozen, on low heat. Cooks up perfectly while leaving the center a nice medium pink.

I had In-N-Out yesterday. The chopped chilis are so damn good. In-N-Out really is the best fast food burger.

Isn't that what you're supposed to do with frozen burgers? They always taste better when thrown on the grill still frozen.

That's the one - they're going to be kickass - just make sure you've got the secondary ingredients (they require a few) and you've got some time - they are not a "just throw it together in 5 minutes" thing. They're involved, but they're so worth it when you've got the time. [Portion is hefty for the wife and I too]

Technically the one we get is PECAN Cinnamon Roll though - I can't imagine that they've got more than one type though - so likely identical or just a non-nut variant if I'm wrong.

For the ones that give instructions that's generally the case - not been to Costco in a long while (closest is an hour after the move - BJs for life now) - but if they're the ones I remember they don't have instructions, so I'm sure some people default to thawing them like you'd do with fresh patties.

I personally buy fresh formed patties in bulk and freeze about 3/4 (with as little air as possible in the packaging) - and for the ones I froze I'll defrost them in a cold water bath (still sealed) over the couple hours before using.
