I still love kiddie candy (laffy taffy, nerd ropes, trolli sour worms, sweet tarts, etc). I don't eat it regularly, and I feel slightly embarrassed buying it, but I have to have some once in a while. Usually when I'm on a road trip.
Why feel embarrassed? I buy candy a few times a week and not a fuck is given. There is a convenience store right down the road from my girlfriend's house that I swing in to every time I leave her place. I buy a diet orange soda and 1 - 2 packs of whatever candy I'm feeling. Lately it's been the aforementioned air head bites. usually it's a packet of skittles.

I went to Dave & Busters a month or so ago and spent like 2900 tickets on nothing but candy. I could have reached the moon with how many sour ropes I had in my candy bag.

My go to is sour patch kids. If I get them at the movies there's a good chance i'll eat them all before the previews are over.

A lot of the bad food cravings go away once you've been eating healthy after a while. I almost never drink soda anymore but once I have one, I crave one the next day.

Sour Patch Kids suck now, I dunno what they did to them. Used to be my favorite.

I don't know your health issues Vaclav, but it seems like your doctor might be specializing a diet towards whatever issues you may have.

Sour patch kids are fucking awesome, but I swear after eating one of the giant bags in one sitting I thought my tongue was going to start bleeding.

Sour Patch Kids Extreme are even better than regular Sour Patch Kids. Much more sour. Also, Noodle has a confirmed weak-ass tongue.

Not true. Was it LA Beast that ate like 10 pounds of them and had a bloody tongue after? I don't think that dude can be considered a weak-ass. Any man that eats a Durian raw like that is no weak-ass.

Right, that was my point though - due to the amount of stuff that falls under "healthy" - really almost anything gets ruled out at a point. Besides like Kale and salads.

Lots of people want to use "healthy" as a term for low calorie/diabetic diet - when there's really a whole gammut of what that general term ends up applying towards. If you are one of those complete "healthy eating" people, you have to be pretty neurotic about food to the point where it's unenjoyable - I've run into more than a few over the years. [Go figure with working in a high-end market during my working years + having way too many hipster friends and family]

Our Sour Patch, I can relate 100% Noodle - I get that problem pretty quickly when I have some myself. (Of course my tongue has a notch in it that probable gets alot more of the sour powder in it quickly - nearly bit my tongue off as a kid apparently it never healed back fully)

You said you ate a "giant bag" of them. You didn't eat 10 pounds. That's an entirely different situation. Even if it was one of the 1 pound bags you can find at places like Target and Walmart, that shouldn't badly affect your tongue. I speak from experience, as I'm a Sour Patch Kids fiend.

Sour Patch Kids are good, but I prefer gummy candy over the chewy stuff like sour patch / swedish fish. I'm not a big dessert guy at all, but I still really like candy like that and Skittles, Starburst, etc.

Am I the only person that never really liked candy? I think I stopped trick-or-treating as a kid around age 10 when I realized that I'd go, and then just give all my candy to my friends. As far as sweets go, I can't think of a single candy item that I would take over a baked good (cookie, brownie, etc). Doesn't help that I HATE anything sour, and that's like 2/3 of candy it seems like.

I guess candy bars would be the exception, I like a lot of those, but basic candy (gummies, sweet tarts, nerds, liquorice, taffy, etc) just does nothing for me.

I was consuming a 3lb bag of sour patch kids a week after I got out of college. Went in for my first dentist appt and had 6 cavities. I had 0 cavities prior to this. I no longer eat Sour Patch Kids.

The funny/sick thing is when I eat sour patch kids I don't eat much real food so I actually lose weight on the sour patch kid diet. I went down to 142 when I'm almost always without fail at 146 - 148 depending on when I weigh myself.

This is me, too. I'd take chocolate or baked goods every time over candy.

Yeah, if its candy its going to need to have chocolate involved somehow to give me any interest in eating it. Stuff that's just pure sugar + artificial flavoring does nothing for me

My lack of interest in candy might help the fact that I've only had 1 cavity in my life(and I'm pushing 40), and I'm far from the best brusher/flosser in the world. I pretty much never floss.

I'm a fiend for gummy candy, but not sour. Gummy worms and watermelon/apple/peach rings all from Sprouts, is to die for. The shit's so fresh and soft, and gummy. Mmmmmmm...

For all you cavity prone sweet eating mutherfuckers who don't like to floss, get this:
Amazon.com: Philips Sonicare HX8331/11 Airfloss Pro Rechargeable Electric Flosser: Beauty

Used it for 2 years, it's great, yea seems expensive, really just fill it up with water or listerine(try just water, listerine might leave a gunky buildup), it's super easy. It's a lot better than the waterpiks, i think the whole tube and everything of the waterpiks and how it's "always on" and is pretty big footprint wise, tends to be annoying, also this is portable so you can travel with it.

Usually, i wake up, take my soniccare toothbrush (yea i use the sonic toothbrush too) brush while setting up coffee maker, then take the floss, hell, i floss twice a day cuz it's so easy now.

I still floss with string once a week, mainly because the dentist said my teeth are great, except the very back teeth, cuz there's no inbetween teeth there i don't get to floss there much, so he said just take a string of floss once a week to the back teeth and scrap up and down, i can try just using the sonic flosser there, but he said it's more effective this way, who am i to argue. He said his worst clients(meaning no cavities) are the ones with the sonic care toothbrush and flosser.

Even just using the sonicare toothbrush is pretty helpful. At least my dentist stopped nagging me about flossing when I started using the sonicare even though I still didn't floss. I think the cavity thing has a lot to do with genetics as well. I have had I think 2 or 3 cavities in my 38 years and it's not because I'm meticulous about brushing and flossing.

I don't really like sweets at all, baked or candy, but I love some goddamn sour patch kids. My tongue ain't no pussy mccheese, I'm talking about those 3-5lb. bags.
