Applebees and shit like that are just 1 tier above McD's etc.

That whole pyramid is fucked up.

I'm sure olive garden is fine and all, but the one time I ate there was with the whole family when I was about 9-10 years old and everyone besides my mom got food poisoning so bad I can remember throwing up into a container and there being so much puke it couldn't hold it all.

But yeah, I question olive garden and cheescake factory in the same tier. I'd say Bravos! and Cheesecake Factory could be in the same tier(even that is pushing it) and Bravos is definitely a step above olive garden.

Never heard of Bravos!, but I maintain that Olive Garden and Red Lobster belong with Cheesecake Factory, Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's, and others like them. How is the food any better at Cheesecake Factory than Olive Garden? I've had several pasta dishes at both places, and they are practically the same in terms of taste and quality.

*Edit* I suppose I should add a note that some ranks could move up or down based on individual location variations, as you'll certainly find Olive Gardens that are awesome and Olive Gardens that are shitty, depending on age, location, and staff.

*Edit2* If you think Five Guys (Grey) belongs in the same tier as Red Robin (Orange), you don't know what a good burger tastes like. Sorry. There is a clear step in quality between the cafeteria-style casual places in the Grey and the more traditional casual dining places in the Orange.

Olive Gardens are without a doubt on the same tier as TGIF. I also question whether TGIF and Applebees belong on the same tier as Outback and Chilis, but at that point I might be splitting hairs.

But in no way shape of form does Olive Garden belong on a tier above those restaurants.

Actually I had it wrong, its just Bravo!, but its definitely more upscale and you can tell they hold their servers to a higher standard as every time I've been there the service has been excellent. The first time I ate there I ordered the lasagna and on one end the bottom was ever so slightly burnt, I didn't finish it just because I wasn't hungry at the time and they offer to box it up for you and when the server brought me my to go box he said he noticed the bottom was burnt so they sent me home with an entire order.

I think that might be affected heavily by individual location variation. I've had servers be just as friendly and helpful at Olive Garden. On the other hand, I've had absolutely nightmarish experiences with staff at places that are relatively pricey and supposedly high in quality, like Ruth's Chris.

Its possible, I've eaten at two different locations and I can't think of another restaurant where I've gotten better service though.

Side note: I fucking love quesaritos. Best New fast food item introduced anywhere in the last few years.

Olive Garden and Red Lobster are "plebeian fancy". They're above TGI Friday's and Applebees for sure. Lower class people will actually dress up to go to places like that. Your food privilege is showing!

Olive Garden's got some good dishes, but their salad and breadsticks are the main thing. They're infinite and pretty decent. Their pasta you can tell is very industrialized (I remember some one here saying that they make a lot of the pasta except the stuffed things at the restaurant, but it still seems like bag + sauce + addons). That said, it's still pretty good. Beef Tip Tortellini is actually really good, but probably not worth ~$15. But add in the breadsticks and salad and it's probably even.

Maggianos is just Olive Garden for gluttons. That said, it's still great.

I hate Olive Garden because of their made up words. It's like Spanglish but the Italian equivalent.

And the food generally sucks too.

I took my wife to Borgatta casino a few years back. We ate at some fancy shmancy restaurant there, where the waitress proceeded to make her feel like shit for not knowing some dumb shit, who cares. So we left and went to the casino buffet, which was amazeballs. Better than any casual restaurant I have ever been to. Gold Jerry, GOLD.

How does this work...do you bake it or eat it cold like a heathen? Is it more than one serving or...??? This may be what finally pushes me over the edge to get a Costco membership. .
I just eat it cold, usually just with ritz or other crackers. It is probably at least 4 or 5 servings depending on how much you eat at a time. There is a lot in the container.

Saw this on a website. Not available in my area yet but I hear it's in Michigan and Maryland. I don't expect it to have real ghost pepper heat, but damn it looks tasty. I guess the sandwich has a spicy chicken filet on a red jalapeno bun with diced jalapenos, cheese, onions, and a ghost pepper sauce. Sounds awesome.

I don't even know what he's saying. Is he saying Red Robin is better than 5 Guys or that it's not? Because 5 Guys is the better choice, more so in recent years with Red Robin being fry nazi's and being dicks about giving out fries.

Saw these on the menu at Wendy's in Denver yesterday. Considered trying it to report back to the bros, but a) I'm kind of a spicy wuss (I don't think the Sriacha Quesorito has much heat but I don't go too far above Medium at BW3) and more importantly b) I was driving to the airport and I'm not going to attempt to eat some garbage fries while driving. Maybe I'll give it a shot when I get back, but you'd probably have to take it with a grain of salt if I were to report the spicy level.
