McD's is bringing back their fried apple and cherry pies. The cherry ones used to be my favorite. I never liked the baked pies they changed to.

Yeah, I typically hang there quite a bit when I go back. Living in OTR was rad. I was so fucking hipster for living there in 2010.

I haven't been there because the wait is always absurd, but everyone says The Eagle is the best restaurant in that area. Apparently the fried chicken is unmatched.

Those sausages look good. Since Fuddrucker's was recently brought up, I'll say that Fuddrucker's has a pretty damn good chili cheese dog. I wouldn't expect a place that specializes in burgers to make a great hotdog, but I had one once by accident and it was wonderful. Load that sucker up with the never ending jalapeno cheddar cheese and you're good to go.

I've always wondered how 5 guys' hot dogs are but not enough to not get a hamburger

Can fill anything you want with slurpee for $1.49, as long as it fits through their 10-inch diameter "sizer"

Best Birthday present ever (on the 11th)!

Unfortunately, my container of choice is just under 3/4" too big

I'm going to Minneapolis for 1 day to fix a machine on Sunday, is there anywhere that I must eat on the east side? I'll be in the woodbury/stillwater area.

Stillwater is a local touristy spot. No real attractions, just kind of a last stop on the way out of the cities and it's a nice little town. There will be all kinds of little shops and restaurants to eat at. I'd recommend Smalley's Caribbean and Phil's Tara Hideaway to try out personally. Depends on what you're looking for I guess.

Depends on where you'll be I guess. Woodbury and Stillwater aren't really that close to one another so if you go into the cities further (you're out on the fringes in Stillwater new total rural areas) then your options drastically go up.

Two places here were on Travel Channels Food Wars a few years ago battling it out over who had the best Juicy Lucy (hamburger with cheese on the inside) Matts Bar and the 5-8 Club. Matts is a hole in the wall bar that doesn't accept cards and their burger is plain with grilled onions on it and it comes with 42 pounds of fries whole 5-8 dresses theirs up. Matts won the competition.

Holy shit, that's the Juicy Lucy area!? I must go to there.

My hotel is in Woodbury, but the customer is in Stillwater. It showed like 15 mins away on google maps.

Tarrant, would you like to grab a burger or something at any of those places you mentioned, rerolled style?

I'm leaving to go up and see my kids this afternoon and wont be back until midnight or so on Sunday unfortunately or else I'd take you up on that. I'm always up for a burger.

(going up to see my kids)

And yeah, this is the home of the Juicy Lucy. I'd defiantly check out Matts Bar and the 5-8 Club to make your own decision on which has the best.

Again, be prepared, Matts is a hole in the wall and doesn't accept cards, but they have an ATM in the bar.

Also if it's your thing, there is a small diner car in downtown Saint Paul called Mickey's Diner that is pretty good and was in The Mighty Ducks and Jingle All The Way, lol. Their food is pretty good, anytime I'm in the mood for an awesome breakfast I go there (open 24 hours). It's easy to get to, Saint Paul is the un-busiest big city you'll ever see.

No worries, maybe next time!

Fuck yea, both of those places are right by the airport. I'll be heading straight there once I get off the plane, lol.

I might the breakfast place or one of the other places before I depart Monday.

Edit: Those first two better not be gay clubs. They sound suspciously like gay clubs.

Finally got something besides the Hot Dog and soda at the Costco food court. The chicken bake is fucking delicious.

You haven't eaten the giant pizza slice? For like $2 (or maybe $3, been awhile) you can get that and a soda and feel like you had a good sized lunch.
