All the real sugar drinks taste better imo. They aren't as cloyingly sweet to me. I really like the real sugar Throwback Mt. Dew.

Yeah, once you drink the throwback dew the regular one tastes terrible. Regular Sugar Cherry Pepsi when it was available is the only one that didn't taste different from Regular Cherry Pepsi for some reason.

Pure Vanilla Extract, yes (or another mild alcohol) - Artificial not so much. Not sure your stores, but Pure Vanilla Extract vs. Artificial is like 1:5 or so in the stores I frequent though. Some don't even carry pure. (Although it is getting more and more common it seems, thanks to Foodies being a more common thing I guess)
more known as
imitation vanilla extract

the real stuff/pure costs just like 1$ more vs. the same 6oz bottle.

but even Walmart tries to screw you with fuckery

McCormick Pure Imitation Premium Vanilla Extract, 2 fl oz - Walmart.com

see how they word it,
pure imitation extract

holy fuck are they sneaky.

this is why you need to look for
pure vanilla extract 100%

(cuz sometimes they'll even have 60/40 mixtures)

amazon will set you free
Amazon.com : McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract-16 OZ : Natural Flavoring Extracts : Grocery Gourmet Food

8bucks for 16oz

you guys also know about mexico import coke and jew passover coke being cane sugar right?

Wtf is this "Real sugar" soda, have never heard of it. Specialty stores or just everyday shopping centers?

I'll have to try some if I can find it.

Real sugar soda refers to sodas using real cane sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. I think it is most widely available during some Jewish holiday (passover) where they can't have HFCS for some reason, so your grocery stores stock a certain amount of the kosher shit. This is typically stuff with a special cap or some other marking. I think Coke is the biggest one, but there's been others each year. It kind of took off for a bit and some stores around here started regularly stocking the 'real sugar' versions. Mostly in throwback cans or glass bottles. Just poke around and you'll find some, it seems to be much less rare than in the last 5 years.

A lot of people used to call it mexicoke cause you found it in tiendas but it's become popular so they are now releasing it in throwback bottles.

Back when it was still possible I would, on occasion, import a case of Dublin Dr. Pepper to the darkest recesses of northern New York and bask in the flavor. Of course even with rationing I would eventually run out and pick up a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper from the store and become very sad.

Given the success of Throwback and smaller bottlers who are selling sugar-based sodas as well as the general malaise towards High Fructose Corn Syrup I am a little surprised that all the soft drink makers haven't jumped onto this stuff with more gusto even if to do so only as a Premium product. I mean I stock up on Throwback Mountain Dew and Pure Sugar Pepsi whenever they do the usual soft drink sales but would easily and happily pay double the price for the real stuff.

You also have to look at the ingredient list, just b/c it's in a glass bottle, does not mean it is cane sugar instead of HFCS. my walmart has a 6pack of glass coke bottles usually a buck each, cuz i guess it has lots of Mexicans, also it says cane sugar, imported de mexico, for some reason they stock it in the chip aisle.

I guess I'm in the minority. Regular Mt Dew ice cold out of the can is my favorite soda on Earth, by far. The Throwback Dew with real sugar tastes gross to me.

bitches dont know bout cheerwine
Cheerwine is excellent. I just can't get it here without paying paying 4x the price off Amazon. I can get Stewart's Black Cherry which is pretty awesome though. I've never seen the Cherries and Cream one yet that was linked above though.

I think Cheerwine is good, but I'd not say it's amazing - I do like to get a case every two months or so though.

Wegman's stopped? You check over near the bottled water and artisanal sodas and such? That's generally where we stocked them and Jones rather than with the standard sodas.
Yeah that was where it was, they stopped a year or so ago though. Some old bullshit if you ask me.

I'll try to make some calls, see if it's temporary or permanent - haven't chatted with some of them since the move anyhow.

We have a soda shop here that has all sorts of goodies. So much cream soda and root beer. So good.

I had a Carl's Jr El Diablo last night. Probably the most spicy fast food item I've ever had. The jalapenos are legit. And the sandwich was loaded with them.

Shit, Vaclav breaking out the junk food batphone. Much respect, sir.
Eh, old coworkers/friends (frankly until the move my only real RL friends were coworkers) - it's good to keep in touch. Not that it seems Tony is in today though.
