Unless you live in a plastic bubble, casual contact with bacteria isn't going to hurt you.

Constantly stressing out about germs probably puts more stress on your overall immune system than actual germ contact.

Not food related but it freaks me out when I see people use the hand rails on escalators in malls/airports. Shit is nasty.
Same, at the Mall of America the railings out in the parking ramp are disgusting and with 100,000 people sliding their hands on that shit every day.....gross.

My first job out of high school was working on escalators in the DC Metro. The outside escalators were the worst because the bums always pissed on them. It was always tough to remove the side panels due to all the dried piss that got ground into the cracks.

I'm not a germophobe, and I've even been known to use handrails, but this is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.
Anxiety is highly correlated with lower immune function. It's a scientific fact of the human nervous system that stress hormones suppress the immune system.

Do you really think the people posting here that they don't want to swipe a used touch screen and then eat cupcakes are so stressed out about germs that it's having an impact on their immune system?

No, no you don't. You're just overstating, as per protocol. Please, continue. I shan't give it more attention.

In other news, I just had Pringels guacamole chips, and they're spicy delicious.

But... but... but... persistent low levels of cortisol and other stress hormones have been shown to have worse effects on the immune system than acute stress reactions!

Okay I'll shut up now.

A Culver's went up right next to the local Chipotle, so now we can eat a huge burrito and then walk a few steps to eat frozen custard. We can physically live large.

I got the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich today. What a dry piece of shit that was. Texture of the chicken wasn't great, either.

I do like their fries, though.

sounds like you have a "bad" wendy's next time ask them to freshly drop the chicken, reason b/c you got a dry piece of chicken last time, you have to wait probably 8mins.

Culver's is awesome. Butter burger with fried cheese curds or onion rings, and then a cement mixer? Fuck yes.

You went to a shit Wendy's. The one by my work makes awesome spicy chicken sandwiches and the texture is like a perfectly cooked chicken breast.
